Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept on a shelf in Site-19 Storage Unit A. Following Incident #007-26B, SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 1 ft x .5 ft x .3 ft, code-locked storage container, stored inside of a 3m x 4m x 3m soundproofed containment cell at Site-41. Entry into SCP-XXXX's containment cell is only permissible by O-3 Personnel. Furthermore, to open SCP-XXXX's storage container, a six-digit code must be entered into the keypad. Only two personnel are to enter SCP-XXXX's containment cell at a time, and SCP-XXXX is never to leave its containment cell, to prevent mass anti-memetic extermination of Foundation Personnel.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard air horn, with a white labeled can, and a blue nozzle with attached white button. No anomalous properties have yet been found, leading some researchers to the belief that this object is completely non-anomalous, and was falsely collected. However, at least one experiment on the object must take place until it can be correctly classified non-anomalous. Testing will begin on (██/██/20██). (See Addendum XXXX-1)

Incident #007-26B: On ██/██/20██, Sr. Researcher █████ and his research team found themselves outside of a soundproof testing chamber in Site-19. None of the team had any recollection of events 30 minutes to an hour prior, nor written documentation of any testing on SCP-XXXX. The team observed SCP-XXXX lying on the ground of the testing chamber. This incident brought the attention of the Anti-Memetic Division, and the object was relocated to its current containment, due to suspicion of possible anti-memetic properties.

Addendum XXXX-1: After extensive research done on SCP-XXXX by the Anti-Memetics division, it has been theorized that the unknown sound produced by the use of SCP-XXXX causes an antimemetic anomaly in all living creatures. The creature itself, after being exposed to the sound, is erased from known existence entirely. Any memories of said creature are destroyed entirely. Records of, or objects related to that person are given an antimemetic trace so strong that only class Y mnestics can enable humans to perceive them. On ██/██/20██, Dr. ████████ of the Antimemetics division and his team conducted an experiment on SCP-XXXX, using two Class-D personnel. Using Class-Y mnestics, Dr. ████████ was able to perceive a document about the experiment, and write a short summary. See Document XXXX-A. Documents containing information about creatures exposed to SCP-XXXX with any level mnestic higher than Class Y are only able to be vaguely remembered for three to five minutes, after which those who read said documents lose interest in and forget about them. However, summaries of these documents are able to be recognized and remembered with any mnestic above Class X. This only works if the documents do not contain information about the creature exposed to SCP-XXXX.

Document XXXX-A: On ██/██/20██, Dr. ████████, with his team of Sr. Researchers █████ and ███, instructed Foundation security to collect two Class-D personnel and transport them to SCP-XXXX's containment cell. The subjects were sent into the chamber with a six digit code, where they opened its storage container and (Document ends here.)
