Special Containment Procedures: Instances of SCP-XXXX are to be thoroughly burnt, preferably with a model XL18.If an instance of SCP-XXXX is to come into contact with any living thing both the instance and the whatever it made contact with is to be burnt completely. If acquiring a sample of SCP-XXXX is for whatever reason necessary, then it is to be tracked, isolated [Everything around it including civilians must be destroyed], contained in a 10 in. by 10 in. reinforced steel cube, and brought to the safest and most isolated part of whatever site is experimenting on it.All procedures should be carried out by Mobile Task Force Beta-XXXX ,a task force assembled for the sole purpose of destroying or containing SCP-XXXX instances.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an infectious disease that tends to appear on Canadian maple leaves and causes a complete brain shutdown that prompts the host to kill all those around it, usually infecting them in the process. It strongly resembles fungi, though studies have shown that it is rather a human disease.SCP-XXXX is of unknown origin, but it was discovered after a 29-year-old man on an airplane was discovered with illegal "marijuana" that was in reality just a few maple leaves. What they didn't know was that these leaves were infected with SCP-XXXX ,and were then acquired just two days later by the foundation on May 29th,2002.These instances caused a massive and deadly containment breach, where the foundation suffered 389 casualties and 1,893 wounded or infected. Since then all instances have been destroyed, mostly burnt via the use of Beta-XXXX's XL18 flamethrowers. It's Keter designation was received shortly after many more breakouts occurred in smaller towns across [REDACTED],United States of America that resulted in complete termination of all nearby civilians and wildlife, and continue to spread to unknown areas across North America.Site-529 was established near these breakout areas to try it's best to slow or stop if possible the spread of SCP-XXXX.Site-XXXX was finished in 2016,and has since housed 3000+ foundation personnel,MTF Beta-XXXX,and several dozen samples of SCP-529.
Addendum: No instances of SCP-XXXX have been able to show any signs of being able to talk or communicate with uninfected organisms, as said by a report by MTF Beta-XXXX.
