Special Containment Procedures: All items that SCP-XXXX was packaged with is to be contained in a standard inside their pencil case at Site-██. All testing is to be carried out by personnel of at least a Level 5 researcher or higher. If not one must have permission granted from a superior and must follow all rules listed in Addendum-XXXX-2. All pieces of parchment containing instances of SCP-XXXX-1-A are to be kept in a separate storage room than SCP-XXXX. More binders are to be provided if the initial binder is no longer able to close itself.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a box with the label of "Dr. Wondertainment's© Draw a FriendTM" and the contents within. An instruction manual contained within SCP-XXXX states the following:

"Does your child have a hard time making friends or for some reason can't. Introducing, 'Dr. Wondertainment's© Draw a FriendTM'. Have your child create a friend by simply using the supplies in the box which includes: 'The Magic PencilTM'(SCP-XXXX-1) and 'The Magic Coloring UtensilsTM'(SCP-XXXX-2). With these materials and a little bit of drawing, your child now has a best friend that will stay with them forever.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a mechanical pencil that appears to have infinite amount of pencil lead and eraser. These two traits combined allows one to make as many drawings as they please and to correct mistakes or to make the drawing as detailed as they desire. SCP-XXXX-1's primary anomalous effect only activates when drawn on paper, parchment, and canvas. Once finished, any drawings made by SCP-XXXX, hereby designated as SCP-XXXX-1-A, instantly become animated. This includes letters and words of any language, inanimate objects, lines, dots, shapes, and living beings. How SCP-XXXX-1 knows when one is finished drawing is currently unknown. Anything accidentally drawn by SCP-XXXX-1 will not become animate and can be erased without any complications.

SCP-XXXX-2 is an assortment of coloring utensils. The purpose of these is to add color to instances of SCP-XXXX-1-A as using regular utensils does not work. However, drawings made by only using SCP-XXXX-2, do not result in a theoretical SCP-XXXX-2-A. this was probably done for marketing purposes All instances of SCP-XXXX-1-A colored in by SCP-XXXX-2 are still classified as SCP-XXXX-1-A.

SCP-XXXX-1-A entities are all sentient and are usually cordial with on-site staff, even if the drawings are based off of villain characters from other media or if they are based on criminals in real life. SCP-XXXX-1-A instances are confined to parchment, paper, and canvas; they can transfer to different sheets of the items previously listed in order to communicate with each other or explore. Most of the entities are aware of their existence as a two dimensional beings and are mostly unaffected by this fact. SCP-XXXX-1-A instances are all sterile due to them not having reproductive organs. Their abilities are similar to SCP-085's abilities with notable differences. If they pass to a different sheet of the listed items of a different style then their style will not change. They can communicate audibly with each other but they can not communicate audibly with entities outside of their two dimensional plane. In order to communicate with the three dimensional world, SCP-XXXX-1-A entities communicate with American Sign Language or with speech bubbles. They can interact with things drawn with an ordinary writing utensil or any SCP in which the drawings cannot animate, like SCP-067. The drawn objects interacted with by instances of SCP-XXXX-1-A will stay in motion and/or operate like their real world counterparts after initial interaction. Due to continuous testing with SCP-XXXX, the amount of SCP-XXXX-1-A is always growing. As of 03/11/2020, there are 3470 known instances of SCP-XXXX-1-A. On the date 9/6/20██, SCP-XXXX was found at the front gate of Site-██. The first instances of SCP-XXXX-1-A were found in a three ringed binder labeled "Samples".

Addendum-Placeholder-1: There are numerous requests for instances of SCP-XXXX-1-A to be introduced to SCP-085 to help cope with its depression. Requests are pending.

Addendum-Placeholder-2: SCP-XXXX-1 and/or instances of SCP-XXXX-2 is not to be used to draw sexual, pornographic, very gory material, and/or ill intent. This is to ensure the mental wellbeing of the new SCP-Placeholder-A entity and of the entities around them. Addendum-Placeholder-3: "By order of the 05 council SCP-XXXX-1-A entities are now allowed to interact with SCP-085. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX is now reclassified from Euclid to Thaumiel due to this change and to ensure that other SCPs similar to SCP-085 continue to be contained,"-via the O5 Council.
