Item: SCP-####
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### has a containment parameter of 800m2, with 10 guards constantly guarding the barbed fence that has been set up. All instances where SCP-#### is located on a map are to be erased. Entrance of SCP-#### is non-advisable but permitted to level 3 personnel or higher for testing purposes.
Description: SCP-#### is a Victorian-era mansion located on the outskirts of ████████, Scotland. The entire estate (including the claimed land surrounding it) has a surface area of 7002. The mansion itself, as recorded in the latest test, contains 37 rooms and has 4 floors, including the attic.
When viewed from the outside, the mansion doesn't exhibit any anomalous properties. However, when a human being enters the mansion, it's anomalous properties start to manifest, who usually manifest in this order:
The subject entering the mansion will become stuck in a time loop, and greeted by an instance of SCP-####-11(changes per iteration), who is wearing late-victorian era clothing and speaking in a thick, British accent, and will lead them to an entrance hall. There, the subject is greeted by 1 to >90 instances of SCP-####-1 (See Experiment log #15-B), who will all introduce themselves. It will then be revealed that an instance of SCP-####-1 of the mansion was killed, and it is unclear which instance of SCP-####-1 did it. It is then stated that the subject entering is a detective, who was hired to solve the murder. When this line is heard by the subject, he/she will gain knowledge of what happened and at which location. It is not known how the subject acquires this information. All the instances of SCP-####-1 that were presented will then go off to do their jobs, and the subject is free to roam around the mansion.
When the subject finds out which instance of SCP-####-1 is the murderer and confronts them with evidence, that instance of SCP-####-1 will admit defeat and congratulate the subject on solving the murder. The time loop will be closed, and the subject will reappear at the gates of the estate. When the subject fails to find out who the murderer is and gives up, they will be escorted to the entrance hall. There, it will be revealed who the murderer was, and the murderer will claim victory. Then, the time loop resets and the subject will find themselves at the doorstep, being greeted by one of the suspects.
Each time, the entire setting and cast of the mansion are changed, even being able to fit more space inside the mansion than possible from an outside perspective. However, there do seem to be some consistencies:
- The house will always keep its Victorian-era interior
- SCP-####-A will always be the murderer, regardless of the setting
- There will always be specific instances of SCP-####-1 who will always appear. See SCP-####-1 Instances for frequently reoccuring instances.
The mansion was built by ████████ █████ between ██/██/██ and ██/██/██, but the origins of the mansion's anomalous properties are yet to be discovered. It is theorized, however, that it's anomalous properties are an effect of [data expunged], which was located in the [data expunged] on [data expunged] by scientist ███████ ████.
Addendum A: The complexity of the mansion's mystery seems to be adjusted to the skill and intelligence of the subject entering the mansion. See experiment #41-A for more information.
Addendum B: If the subject doesn't solve the murder within time or doesn't focus on solving the murder, the subject will be escorted to the entrance hall, where they will be asked: ''Are you even taking this seriously?'', before the time loop is reset.
Addendum C: If more than multiple subjects enter the mansion at the same time, they will each be transported to a different mansion. It is unknown if this takes place within the mansion itself, or how it is achieved. See Experiment log #15-B for more information.
Experiment logs:
Experiment log #10-A:
Test 10-A - ██/██/██
Subject: Trainee private detective employed at ███████ █████. Above average IQ.
Procedure: Subject was informed about the anomaly, with the cover of it being a new circus attraction. The subject was not informed about the standard butler outcome. Standard CUT5 procedure after testing was finished.
Results: Subject was able to solve the mystery in time. A new instance of SCP-####-1 was located, subsequently named SCP-####-1-G. After the subject reappeared at the front gates, he seemed to have developed a variation on the Truman syndrome, believing that he still was in the victorian era and that he was an expert detective. Class-B amnestics were given to the subject after testing.
Analysis: From this day forward, all subjects are to be given amnestics after testing. To still hold obtain evidence, all subjects will carry a camera with them.
Experiment Log 15-B
Test 15-B - ██/██/██
Subjects: 3 D-Class subjects. Low IQ. D-Class 5098 is mentally disabled, suffering from down syndrome.
Procedure: Subjects were informed about the anomaly. Subjects were given a camera, to record the anomaly. Subjects were exposed to class-C amnestic after testing.
Results: All subjects each wound up in different mansions. Results per Subject:
Analysis: Due to the additional anomalies encountered within the mansion and the unpredictability of SCP-#### events, I, Docter █████ █████████, am requesting SCP-#### to be upgraded to Euclid class until more research is conducted.6
