This is my first attempt at an SCP, and I want all the (constructive) criticism I can get, as I am sure I have gotten more than one thing horribly wrong. I wrote up a short article to try and display my idea, which can be seen in the next time.

My idea is a SCP that changes properties and appearance when its classification change, like it going from a baseball in one, to a fire poker in another. Im thinking each classification class can have a quality, like Safe having to do with baseball, or Dark involving the anomaly passing from one person to another.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be classified as Safe/Dark/Notice and be stored in a safe class locker made of clear material. The locker containing SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a room with a level three clearance.

This file is to be protected with the best firewall program reasonably available to the foundation, and be locked to any personal under clearance level 4/XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a object that will change depending on the classification of the object at the top of this file. Every observed iteration of SCP-XXXX has been distinct, with the only observed similarities among all iterations being that it always has a notable green coloration, along with a few other similarities between iterations that share one type of classification. When the classification of SCP-XXXX changes, the resulting change has been observed to take place instantaneously, with any change that results in the gaining of mass pushing any interfering matter out of the way. When classification of SCP-XXXX is changed to a previously observed state, it will result into the same approximate anomaly, with the same approximate dimensions.

In SCP-XXXX’s¹ Safe/Dark/Notice state is a green baseball with white stiches of regulation size and weight, further designated SCP-XXXXa. SCP-XXXXa’s anomalous qualities manifest when a subject who is familiar with the rules of baseball handles SCP-XXXXa. When held by a eligible subject, SCP-XXXXa will manifest a green aluminum baseball bat(SCP-XXXXa-1) approximately 18.44 meters in front of the subject. If there is not sufficient space in front of the subject, SCP-XXXX will not manifest until sufficient space is available.

When SCP-XXXXa is thrown at SCP-XXXXa-1, SCP-XXXXa-1 will hit SCP-XXXXa 100%² of the time, SCP-XXXXa will invariably be hit towards any human being in a range of 120 meters. SCP-XXXXa will not be hit towards the subject unless there is no other available human in range. If the human in question wishes to catch the ball, they will do so, even if they provide no effort in doing so.

Addendum 1: Test log of SCP-XXXX:
Test 1 – 01/25/2017

SCP-XXXX

Procedure: SCP-XXXX’s classification was changed from Safe/Dark/Notice to Safe/Dark/Danger. Two D Class was provided for testing of resulting object.

Results: SCP-XXXX gained mass(Approximately twice its weight as before), though did not grow in size. The coloration of the stiches changed from white to black. No effect occurred before it was handled, however the effect of SCP-XXXX in this state(Further designated as SCP-XXXXb) is not limited to subjects that know the rules of baseball. When handled, a bat of green coloration and black highlights, with a composition of iron(Further designated SCP-XXXXb-1). When SCP-XXXXb was thrown at SCP-XXXXb-1, SCP-XXXXb flew at a D-Class, with enough velocity to pass through his skull, killing the D Class immediately. Testing was shortly ended, and SCP-XXXX was reverted to its previous classification.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX has the capability to be very dangerous, and all further tests are to be conducted with redundant caution.
