SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is a level 4 clearance SCP that is currently located on Robert Island, Antarctica. The subject can not be contained, no known material or substance can contain SCP-XXXX due to its rapid physical development. Due to this, communications with SCP-XXXX have been attempted in order to persuade it to willingly contain itself in a 10 meter by 10 meter metal room which was planned to be constructed on the island. However, SCP-XXXX has refused to be contained by the foundation, but has accepted to reside solely on the island.

Many cameras and motion sensors have been installed although parts of the island are not monitored due to SCP-XXXX not wanting the foundation to have eyes on it at all times. Personnel are also required to constantly communicate with SCP-XXXX in order for it to keep its communication abilities, and not develop into a form which would lose said ability.
SCP-XXXX is usually asked questions by personnel, but due to the constant communication, SCP-XXXX has not been able to stop producing sounds with or without having a direct conversation. Communications with the subject are done from a control room via speakers which are attached to tall steel pillars around the island.

Any personnel attempting to step foot on Robert Island without authorization, is to be immediately terminated. View incident for more information.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a living organism with no main state or form that evolves/develops physically and mentally rapidly. SCP-XXXX will have minor noticeable changes every 2 seconds. Although it has no main form, it was first found frozen in the form of a single-celled organism resembling a red blood cell that measured exactly 1.4 µm in diameter. While SCP-XXXX did not physically develop while being frozen, attempts on freezing it again have been made, which ultimately failed due to SCP-XXXX creating a new body in and of itself, leaving its outer body as shell.

After SCP-XXXX was unfrozen, it was then placed into a droplet of water in a 2 cm diameter glass container. During observation on SCP-XXXX, scientists observed the subject abnormally dividing and fusing with the divided cells. After around 12 minutes the subject had transformed into a 0.8 mm worm-like organism. Scientists concluded that SCP-XXXX can quickly change via abnormal cell division, but the cause of this rapid division was still unknown, hence why more tests were to be conducted.

After 16 hours of being contained in the cylinder glass container, SCP-XXXX had completely changed and now appeared like a green fungus which had spread around the container, and even fused with the glass.

Incident

The incident is classified as 001-ZULU

On 12/7/20, 7 technicians and Mobile Task Force personnel were sent on Robert Island from site-233 on a helicopter at 10:43 in the morning. Their tasks were to install more motion sensors around the island due to the lack of surveillance. At 11:20 in the morning, 001-ZULU-1 arrived south of the island, MTF personnel exited the helicopter first, then did the technicians. However, a warning was sent to MTF personnel from site-233 through their radios after they had exited the helicopter. SCP-XXXX was moving at very high speeds, and approaching 001-ZULU-1. It had never behaved this way, which alarmed the control room, who shortly after ordered 001-ZULU-1 to flee the island and retreat back to site-233. Unfortunately, SCP-XXXX had already reached them before they could make their escape, and it ultimately killed 001-ZULU-1. Due to the now confirmed unpredictability of the subject, no rescue team was sent, neither was a team sent to retrieve the bodies. SCP-XXXX was later asked why it killed 001-ZULU, view a piece of the conversation below.

Dr. ████: You seemed to have become afraid, or alarmed by their presence on the island at that time.
SCP-XXXX: Yes. The fact that they were on my island bothered me.
Dr. ████: But it is not your island, you know that right?
SCP-XXXX: It is my home as it stands now. So I consider it mine.
Dr. ████: Either way… How can we prevent you from causing another incident?
SCP-XXXX: Ask for my permission first. If you come back on my island without permission, I will leave it.
