Special containment procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a pitchblack containment unit with no video surveillance inside the containment. Any instance of SCP-XXXX-1 SCP-XXXX-2 are to be terminated and incinerated immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small paper note approximately 10 centimeters by 4 centimeters. No samples of the material has been taken due to the extreme strength of SCP-XXXX rendering it indestructible by all known means.
SCP-XXXX’s primary anomolous effect is it’s effect on anyone who observes the primary side of the object. The subject must be able to read and comprehend english as test with heavily drugged subjects and subjects who cannot read english both failed to trigger SCP-XXXX’s anomolous effect. Observing the empty side of the note also yields no anomalous effect
Any sentient being who fulfills the necessary criteria will, upon observing the note, scream: “Release the beast” loudly. The subject, now referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, will then begin to shake violently and collapse to the ground appearing as if the SCP-XXXX-1 instance is a having a violent seizure. Approximately 10 seconds after initial symptoms manifest the instance’s skin will harden and become scale-like in nature. All body and head hair will fall of during this stage. The seizing will stop once the skin is fully transformed and all the hair has fallen of which occurs approximately 20 seconds after initials symptoms manifest. The instance will lay motionless for approximately ten seconds before two large scaly limbs with large claws at the ends grow out of its back causing major blood loss as the limbs violently burst out. The limbs will grow until they are approximately 1.5 meters in length when they will stop growing abruptly after approximately 15 seconds. The instances eyes will then become pitch black.
Once the transformation is complete the SCP-XXXX-1 instance has extreme physical strength, instances have been witnessed breaking reinforced bulletproof glass, jumping distances of up to ten meters and they have even shown some resistance to bullets and explosives. They are also extremely aggressive towards animals and humans and they have extremely powerful senses far above normal human levels. Instances have currently shown no behaviors indicating that human qualities such as intelligence and empathy remain after transformation.
Any image of SCP-XXXX’s active side is designated SCP-XXXX-2 and these retain the primary anomalous quality of the SCP however they can still be destroyed by normal means unlike SCP-XXXX. This is the primary risk factor of this SCP as an instance could be spread and propagated through communication technology exposing thousands or millions to its effects. An image of SCP-XXXX only stops exhibiting its anomalous effects if it is extremely far away or extremely distorted.
