Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be guarded at all times by highly trained and briefed security officers hired by the foundation. No access is to be allowed on to the location unless they have Level-4 clearance and/or permission from [DATA EXPUNGED]. All tests to be done on the subject require permission from the [DATA EXPUNGED]. All persons lacking in previously mentioned specifications are to be detained and taken away from the area as soon as possible. If necessary, brutal force is authorized if persons trying to get into the area are especially adept at evading capture.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a circular location in a dense forest in the country of [DATA EXPUNGED], measuring 0.5 miles in diameter. The site is completely barren, and all wildlife in the area directly avoid it. SCP-XXXX was discovered when several citizens of a town named [DATA EXPUNGED] in the area found 5 emaciated frozen corpses. Aforementioned bodies have presently still not been identified. SCP-XXXX has been theorized by qualified researchers to be an opening between ours and another dimension, which seems to be highly probable. Every half hour, all objects, including organisms are transported into an area mirror to the area surrounding the SCP, but maintained at a permanent temperature of -38.8889 °C and covered in snow. At the end of the half hour, all objects on the mirror equivalent of the SCP return.

There have been several tests sending D-Class personnel with cold protective gear into the SCP to see if they could find any buildings or intelligent life in the separate dimension, all except one of which have failed. All subjects from failed experiments have either not returned, or described the forest going on for a distance significantly greater than the parameters of the forest of our dimension.

However, one experiment is considered a success. 16 subjects were sent into the SCP, one for each direction (North, North Northeast, Northeast, etc.) All subjects were each given cold protective gear, 1 site marker, 1 compass, 1 voice recorder, 1 flare gun with 2 flares, and 1 electronic watch. Subjects were instructed to travel in their specified direction for 45 min, making notes on the voice recorder every 5 minutes, in case they did not return/returned with no way of conveying speech, and then return to the original site, which they were instructed to put their site markers into the perimeter of, to make sure they didn't accidentally not find it. All subjects did not return, except for one bloodied voice recorder. Personnel were sent in several days later to see if they could locate any of the subjects or their equipment. All were gone except the body of the subject sent West, found 2 meters away from the site, torn open, with scratch marks all over their body, and their eyes, tongue and all vital organs removed. A message, written on a small slip of paper, was found attached to their body with a small, ornate dagger, studded with rubies, stabbed through their skull. The message was written in elaborate, calligraphic handwriting, with what appeared to be blood. The message read "Send more. We love the hunt."

The voice recorder was found fully functional, with several recordings.

Recording 5: "Um, so the ravens are talking. That's not normal right?! They're chanting some weird rhyming thing! That's definitely not normal! Listen!" sounds of the recorder being turned around and croaking voices are heard speaking in unison "Broken things, dreadful things, twisted things, poisoned things, misshapen things, destroyed things, unloved things, desolate things, abandoned things, crude things, irreparable things, torn things, unsightly things, disgusting things, wild things, lost things, bad things, terrible things, evil things, despicable things, infernal things, malicious things, ugly things, unhappy things, unhealthy things, unseemly things, nasty things,foul things, frightful things ghastly things, grim things, gruesome things, monstrous things, savage things, sickening things, vile things, vicious things, grotesque things, horrendous things, spiteful things, noxious things, sinister things, demonic things. These things are we, these things are you. We are the damned, we get no rest, we never die, we are ever expanding, and today you will join us." screams, tearing noises, and husky laughter are all heard in the background.
