Example of Vanessa virginiensis. The species that SCP-XXXX wings most resemble
object class: Euclid
special containment procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 10x10x10 meter containment cell at site-41. Under no circumstances should the containment cell have any amendments with the exception of a straw and Cotten bedding in in the north-eastern corner of the cell. A single reinforced steel door at least 2 feet thick located on the southern wall. Four cameras are to be placed in the cell upper corners, the camera are to be set back into the wall with a protective glass overlay as to avoid XXXX using them as weapons. The door should have both a electric and manual release mechanisms as to keep XXXX it’s cell. The SCP should be chained with a 10 centimetres thick steel chain to the middle of the cell floor, the chain will be attached to XXXX’s right leg. The chain will be attached to a ankle bracelet, this bracelet should be fitted with the capability to a administer sedatives and a electric shock to help control the SCP.
XXXX should be kept to a strict diet of Vanessa virginiensis also commonly know as the American painted lady. At least 10 Vanessa virginiensis should be given to XXXX per day. Twice per day 5 litres of water that is 5% sodium. During feeding and water replenishment XXXX is to be sedated, this task is to be carried out by D-class with at least two armed guards outside of the cell.
During a ‘light up’ event no personnel are allow to enter SCP-XXXX cell for at least 1 hour. Failing to wait the full hour can lead to the personnel become blind for between 3-48 hours. If any personnel are caught doing will have immediate disciplinary action taken against them.
No personnel are to be aloud to be in the cell when XXXX is not under sedation due to its feral nature. When under sedation at least five armed personnel are to be present at all time. Armed personnel should be armed with small fire arms with tranquilliser rounds, personnel are also to be armed with a mild taser. SCP-XXXX’s control bracelet should be fitted at all time including being removed from cell, the bracelet should be paired to a remote activation device for SCP control. The bracelet built in voice activation system is to be armed and on standby, for the passphrase “flutter protocol”.
Once a week XXXX should be removed from its cell under sedation to the sites infirmary for medical testing and evaluation. When this occurs the following test must take place:
- anti-bacterial injection
- Blood pressure test
- Heart rate test
- Full body wash, use of only natural spring water
- Wounds to be checked and cleaned
- Wings should be clipped as to reduce flight capability
- dentistry check up followed by full oral cleaning and K-9s are to be cut
- CAT should be used to evaluate damaged brain tissue
- X-ray to check for bone structural integrity
- Nails should be cut down as to reduce risk of injuries to staff
- Weight and height should be checked and logged
All of these test should be logged into SCP-XXXX medical records.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is humanoid entity resembling a female homo sapiens (Human), but unlike homo sapiens no external organs on the chest and waist are present. The entity is 1.8 meters tall and weighs 75 kilograms. XXXX has a lack of body hair with the exception of its head, in which the hair is jet black. SCP eyes are different to that typical of homo sapiens but instead are completely covered in a organic membrane with a rose gold colouring. Subject’s skins has no natural colour but instead is capable of reflecting all nearby light sources but through an opec surface. It is unknown how XXXX’s skin is able to do this further testing is waiting approval.
SCP-XXXX most striking feature is it’s pair of butterfly wings protruding form the subject’s spine. The wings are made of the same material as regular butterflies that being incest chitin. Due to XXXX’s flight capability it’s wings are to be clipped to reduce its flight capability. As a result of XXXX’s minor regenerative ability the wings are to be clipped weekly. Even though XXXX has shown the ability of self healing it seems that is is only possible to do to repair its wings and not it’s many wounds. It is unknown if this is due to en evolutionary default, reluctance or the fact it is no long able to is up for debate. Further test and observation are needed for a more conclusive result.
Addendum:
During observations of SCP-XXXX a previously unknown anonymous property was discovered by complete accident. See incident 35B below:
incident 35B - ██/██/2013 - 10:51 pm
One hour after XXXX usually falls asleep, medical staff were called to XXXX after security watching the SCP became aware that it had woken up and began convulsing in the floor. By the time medical staff had reached the cell XXXX had been convulsing for three minutes, before the main door was opened XXXX has been sedated by it’s ankle bracelet. As the door to the cell, security told by the surveillance that XXXX had woken up. But before the door could be closed a large amount of was seen flooding out the now open door. This resulted in 3 medical staff and 6 security personnel to be moved to the onsite infirmary to be treated for their temporary blindness. Fortunately the cell door was able to be closed in time and all cameras turned off as not blind anymore staff. After one hour the light had dissipated, upon camera reactivation it was noted that SCP-XXXX was unconscious in the cell. The subject was brought to the infirmary for full medical examination, unfortunately after two hours of testing on cause for the event was identified. This event is now be officially referred as a ‘light up’ event.

special containment procedures:
Due to the SCPs unpredictable behaviour pattern and the gravitational interaction of the sun, man exploration of SCP-XXXX is strictly forbidden until the time that a suitable method is discovered. To help keep the existence of SCP-XXXX out of the public knowledge the cover story that it is a black spit is to be maintained until a such a time that the cover story is no longer needed. Further methods of covering its existence should include monitoring of research satellites within the vicinity of SCP-XXXX. Following incident-490A, no material of SCP-XXXX is to be exposed to oxygen of any concentration. Cause of this all testing has been postponed until a suitable testing facility has been constructed.
In the event that SCP-XXXX leaves its orbit of the sun at a distance of more then 100,000 kilometres from the suns chromosphere for more then 24 hours. Foundation archimedes orbital weapons are to be used to force SCP-XXXX back into it’s previous orbit.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a biological entity located within the suns chromosphere in it’s northern pole. SCP-XXXX is triangular in shape; the left and right sides are concave, while the aft portion of the ship is convex and becomes narrower as it reaches it’s bow. SCP-XXXX is 100 kilometres from bow to stern and 55 kilometres in width.
SCP-XXXX has a several appendages on its hull that are assumed to allow SCP-XXXX to pull smaller entities into a presumed hangar. A ridge that runs down the front of the entity is believed to house sensory equipment. Through observation the entity has accumulated structural damage from sustained exposure from the sun.
object class: safe
special containment procedures:
Due to SCP-XXXX decayed state it is to be kept in cold storage when not being observed. Once a month SCP-XXXX is to check upon by research staff for any alterations, if any alterations are discovered SCP-XXXX is to be taken out of storage for data recording. This testing should be done in a controlled and isolated environment, and last no more then one hour as to preserve the SCP. In the case that SCP-XXXX-1 materialises they are to be put in a standard humanoid containment cell and await questioning.
If SCP-XXXX-1 is considered useful in furthering the understanding the nature of SCP-XXXX, they are to be contained indefinitely until such time that there services are no longer required. When such a time comes the subject is either to be assigned as a D-class and moved offsite or they will be terminated, this decision will fall upon the current site director.
Due to SCP-XXXX-1 prolonged absence from society, application of amnestics and release into the rest of society is strictly forbidden. As currently it is unknown if this was a isolated event or if it can be passed on to others.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a leather bound A4 diary of an unknown maker in a state of decay. The diary was first discovered in 2006 when it materialized during the regular maintenance of the containment cell of SCP-████. Upon discovery SCP-XXXX was tested to identify if the diary was a hoax, once the testing was concluded it was discovered that diary had traces of several elements that were not on the Foundation extended periodic table.
As of time of discovery SCP-XXXX had 74% of its 300 pages, though not all of the pages are intact. Of the 222 that were written on, only 183 being readable with the rest either being to badly damaged or written in a language that has not been deciphered as of writing this. The SCP was discovered to be covered in biological residue, a portion off which was identified and latter classified as SCP-XXXX-1. The rest of the biological material has been unsuccessfully identified and testing into the substance was postponed until SCP-XXXX-1 was in Foundation custody.
SCP-XXXX-1 was formally identified as Joss Batista. SCP-XXXX-1 was born in Detroit, America 1973 to a local priest though not religion themselves. The subject was of caucasian decent, with a height of 6.3 feet and a weight of 85 kilograms.
The subject was reported missing on December 30th 1999 from the subjects family home at 09:47 am. The body of the subject was never recovered and was presumed dead. The investigation determined that the subjects wife had murdered them after discovering that the subject had an affair. The local law enforcements gave the subjects wife 30 years in the local prison with no chance of parole.
Below are digital transcripts of a collection of the readable text found within SCP-XXXX
Transcript 1—page 3
Dear Diary,
It has been three maybe four days since i found my self like this. Still unable to contact people or even touch them, though strangely i think that the cat can sense me or something. Because it seems to follow my movement i think, or if could be a coincidence as that animal always seems to be looking at stuff that was not there. Also found out that i can’t interact with anything, found that out the hard way when trying to open the bedroom door. Three days in and I’m neither hungry or thirsty, odd?. So it appears that I don’t need food or water.
The family it still trying to cope with my disappearance, only if could just let them know that I’m still there and that i love them. [following text has been ripped out of the diary, with several dried water marks scattering the page. Presumed to be tear marks].

Dear Diary,
Those bastards, they can’t do this to her she’s incident. A murderer may ass. It was a one night thing i was drunk i can barely even remember that night but she understood, she UNDERSTOOD you good for nothing cops. You took one look into our history and came to the fasted and easiest conclusion. Case closed, murder weapon found i cut my self when cutting up the roast and of course they find a motive to kill me. And what happens to her, i have no idea. Thanks to what ever happened to me all i could do was watch from the bedroom window as they carried her off to the station. I can’t even comfort my own kids. Let me guess O Lord this is my punishment for my sins, i know that i have not been a Boy Scout but come throw me a bone and give me a break, let me return and at least allow me to comfort my children. FUCK YOU to O Lord, O father. You are no god, you don’t care about us, we are nothing but play things for you. But of course thank you for the diary and the small collection of pens. What am I meant to do, are these just so you a something to remember me by when I eventually pass on. Well screw you, you asshole. Have your fun see if i care.

Dear Diary,
It has been two months since i came to place. I continue to watch over the kids even if they don’t know it. Maybelle my loving wife, was sentenced last week 30 years with no chance of parole. How, how could they do this to us first I disappear now this. The kids are barely coping as it was with out me now that there mothers gone. I just don’t now to do, my father is currently looking after them at least he’s not trying to preach to them this time. The grandparents are discussing rather they should move the children to Maybelle’s parents ranch down south, but with the size of the car I doubt i will be able to travel with them and they are unlikely to come back as Father is planning on selling the house.
In other news i have learnt that i can indeed not die or be harmed though i can still feel pain. Going to feel that car for a while. Can add that to the growing list of new things that I have learnt about this place. Now that i think of it this place needs a name, purgatory world between worlds, the afterlife, haven though feels more like hell. Heck I’ll brainstorm it latter. I want to see how far from the house i can go, just to see if this place can only reach so far. That cat still seems to follow my movement from time to time, but does not seem to notice when I’m trying to hit it my hands just pass through it. Adding cat to things i can not touch including food, liquids, people, furniture, cow, bird, bullet(s) and lightning though i will not be doing the last two again. The things that i can tough but not interact with include floor, walls, TV?, doors, roofs, ladders, stairs, trees and cars (unsure about other vehicles though but definitely do not want to find that out.)

Dear Diary,
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored within site 73 indefinitely and is prohibited to be moved out of the designated storage and testing areas. The object it to be primarily stored within 2x2x2 metre standard containment cell, lined with sound dampening panels commonly used is in sensory deprivation rooms. No personnel are to be within the 15 metre activation range of the SCP unless instructed to.
Once a year SCP-XXXX is to be moved into an identical secondary storage cell by assigned D-class, during the moving of the SCP all recording equipment must be turned of in the immediate vicinity. All personnel are to report to the designated safe areas until given the all clear. Once moved to secondary storage the primary storage cell is to be refitted with new panelling and further maintenance should be carried out if needed.
During testing, D-class are to be used to move the object to the purpose built MB38 testing cell. The MB38 testing cell consists of two rooms separated by retractable steel doors, both rooms are to be out fitted with same sound dampening panels used in SCP-XXXX storage cells. MB38-A is the largest of the two rooms being 20x20x5 metres in dimensions, the room should contain at least a 1 metre high wooden table for the SCP to be place upon. Directly opposite to the doors should be a 85 inch LED screen with built in one-way camera feed. MB38-B should be 20x5x5 metres in dimensions and is to be used at the holding cell for test subjects.
When testing is being carried out a D-Class is to be moved into MB38-B until testing starts, the subjects must be given a pen and 10 sheets of paper. The partitioning doors should remain closed until the SCP has been moved into position and then remain open for the duration of the test. During the test the D-class will be asked to carry out a series of task relaid via the LED screen. Testing will only stop if the chief researcher formally ends the test or if the D-class is unfit to carry on testing, either due to mental and/or physical damage or if the subject has expired due to the SCP. The testing should not last more then 1 hour as this could result in the subject becoming an SCP-XXXX-1 entity, and should be contained within a standard humanoid containment cell. Should the subjects not return to a normal state after 24 hours they are to be terminated as they pose a security risk, following incident H41-J5.
Due to SCP-XXXX memetic effects, no recording of it should be kept in any format following incident X22-A7. If SCP memetic effects is detected outside of its designate testing and storage areas, floors 22-25 are to be evacuated for until on site security can place SCP-XXXX back into containment. Should any personnel are found to have been exposed to the SCP memetic effects are to be treated as SCP-XXXX-1 entity.
