Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5071 is to be kept in steel chains at all times. Personnel of Level 4 and above are the only ones that should have knowledge of SCP-5071’s existence. When entering SCP-5071’s cell, no more than two personnel can be present, with a maximum distance of 5 meters. SCP-5071’s cell is 34ft in width and 15ft in length. For personal safety, the two chosen or voluntary personnel must be as still as humanly possible while holding their breath until the daily routine check of SCP-5071’s chains is completed.
Description: Origin of this creature is currently unknown. It has a large Ursidae stature with shaggy black fur and thick claws, approximately 0.7 mm in width and 6 ⅝ inches long. Not to be forgetful of the sharpness of the average surgical scalpel. It also has violet luminescent eyes and long jagged teeth. SCP-5071 shows introverted behavior, however, it is a creature of great power, being capable of crushing a human skull effortlessly. It is fact as of right now that SCP-5071 can’t find its target if no movement is being made. No movement of any kind can be made while in the presence of SCP-5071, not even subtle breathing motions, thus it is required that personal hold their breath. Personnel assigned to enter the cell are instructed to either wait till SCP-5071 loses interest in the target. SCP-5071 is reported to attack targets by releasing a high pitched scream before chasing after the target, if caught the target will have their skull crushed. In the event of an attack, personnel are instructed to run away as fast as possible from the caught target while SCP-5071 is occupied.
There have been reports of personnel seeing SCP-5071 moaning in distress and pacing in circles. This is a common occurrence, however, the intensity of distress varies on an unknown variable.
It is speculated that SCP-5071 is capable of communication through more complex means, as it has written messages onto it’s cell walls using its claws. The phrase “The end begins with her” is most apparent. However, since SCP-5071 attacks based on movement and haven’t shown any signs of being able to speak, there have been little attempts to investigate this phrase.
Addendum SCP-5071-1: The Discovery
SCP-5071 was discovered during an incident involving the brutal and quite horrendous murder of a mother and her two children during a camping trip in Big Bend National Park in West Texas. During the questioning of the only survivor, a 10-year-old girl presumably a third child. No information was collected other than the direction SCP-5071 came from, as she was in a state of shock caused by gruesome acts of SCP-5071. While this case was going to be listed as a terrible incident of a bear attack, SCP-5071 was spotted again by field personnel, dragging off the corpses of the child's family and throwing them into a pit, which was surrounded by drawings of a disfigured woman with her eyes clawed out. The same personnel that followed the creature, that would later be known as SCP-5071, were effortlessly killed when tried approaching it. After all interrogation was completed, 5071-1, as the child was then called, was asked to draw out the creature. The image above is her artistic depiction of SCP-5071. Using Benzodiazepine drug to limit its movement. Following this event, 5071-1 was given the proper Anesthesia to forget the event. A cover-up story was made and she was properly relocated.
