Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4073 may be stored wherever need be, but should not be stored near anything flammable due to unpredictable events. Though SCP-4073 is not a harmful object, it must be kept in the facility.
Description: SCP-4073 is a collection of 3 small red wax candles. Each candle has a burnt wick and wax drippings unique to each candle (as an ordinary candle would). SCP-4073 will light by themselves whenever a person near them prays, or invokes the power of a higher being of any religion. Any and all attempts to put out the flame has failed, including water, flame retardant foam, and subjecting the flame to vacuum chambers. The flame will not cease until worship is complete.
After worship completes, between seconds and days, the candle will re-ignite and a soft humming can be heard. Only those who perform the worship can understand what the hum is "saying" and test subjects only reveal that the being "answered them".
Further testing shows that the flame cannot be started without prayer, and can not be fueled by any means other than worship.
SCP-4073 should never be released to the public, to prevent mass hysteria or a world wide religious revolution.
Recovery Information: The candles were recovered by SCP officials from ██████████ Temple, Jerusalem, Israel. ██████████ Temple is hidden beneath the streets, and is not open for public worship, housing many artifacts similar to this one.
