Item #: SCP-4081

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4081 should be stored in a holding case, and be monitored at all times due to ongoing testing.

Description: SCP-4081 is a gold and ruby necklace, dating back to 1770. An anonymous wedding present to Marie Antoinette, the necklace has been moving around the world since. The necklace (when worn) has many properties, including mood altering, and aides in the process of remembering long, forgotten memories. The main feature of the necklace is an intricate clasp that holds it together. The necklace cannot be worn by anyone other than the current owner [UNKNOWN], or the clasp will come undone and fall to the floor, leaving soft scratches in the skin.

Recovery Information: SCP-4081 was recovered from an estate sale, the SCP official who purchased it, was given extensive records of the family artifact and told the story that the necklace was stolen from Marie Antoinette's body after execution, after it had mysteriously appeared around her neck shortly before being beheaded. Seller had also said she could never put it on because "The damned this is too heavy, and always falling off"
