Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Five instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be kept in Autonomous Object Containment Cell 18-4 at Site-18 at all times. Any extraneous instances are to be destroyed monthly, concurrent with site-wide D-Class termination schedule. In the event of an instance of SCP-XXXX-B being created outside of ordinary testing procedures, infested personnel are to report to Medical Bay 18-7 for immediate decontamination and debriefing. Guards are permitted to use force if personnel are non-cooperative. SCP-XXXX infestations that have proceeded to stages C or D are to be destroyed immediately using projectile weaponry or on-site defenses. MTF-Οmicron-18, ”Scary Clown Poppers”, is to be kept on-site and deployed only in the case of Event XXXX-D.
Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a species of balloon-like creatures first discovered in 2002, although evidence recovered from excavations in the █████ Valley in █████ indicates that they have existed for much longer. Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are spheroid, helium-filled and are made of latex. Under ordinary circumstances the objects do not visually appear to differ from non-anomalous red or blue latex balloons.
SCP-XXXX-A possesses a prehensile “string” of muscle and nervous tissue tipped with bone that functions as both limb and primary reproductive organ. Examples of SCP-XXXX-A are not more resilient than non-anomalous balloons, and can be punctured by rounds from a Foundation-standard sidearm. Instances of SCP-XXXX-A will actively chase down potential hosts, and will ignore basic survival instincts while doing so.
For further information regarding SCP-XXXX-A habits, see Document XXXX-Beta
SCP-XXXX-A has the ability to enter into a symbiotic relationship with any human subject. This is done by piercing the brain stem of the host with the “string” of the entity, and extending rubber-like strands throughout the nervous system. This symbiotic entity is henceforth SCP-XXXX-B.
