Institute approves research funding for Scp-XXXX. First contact team includes civilian assets [Censored] particle physicist, [Censored] Electrical engineer, [Censored] Biochemist. Team lead by Institute operative CODE NAME: Zed. Ph.D. Geologist. Supervisor, Agent L.
Standard containment and retrieval protocol are in effect. Electrical disturbance detected. Reported by Hijoji R&D Tokyo. The affected area is isolated to Shika Woods.
Low-level radiation exposer can results in damage to sciatic never, visible, and audible hallucination have been linked to prolonged exposer. An investigation is underway.
April 16th.
As the team moves closer to SCP-XXXX, the group experiences what the particle physicist describes as quantum particle field disruption.
The team unearthed an underground passage leading through the hillside outside of the Ichishin-Magami temple. Throughout this passageway, the rules of mater seem to be in flux.
For brief moments, inertia, mass, and even gravity become irregular. Water flows uphill, objects traveling through the air may become trapped in space. Objects on the ground may lose momentum. On one occasion, it was explained that an object moving through water lost bouncy.
The events never lasted for more than several seconds, but a spike followed each event in background radiation.
It was reported to me at this time that Hijoji R&D had made contact with an NGO-military. It is suspected that they (Hijoji R&D) may wish to procure the specimen for themselves.
We have contacted local police and military officials to look into this mater.
May 3rd
SCP researchers have had a "type 3 encounter" with a hostile life form. It is supposed that the effects of SCP-XXXX have altered the life form.
A team member had made his way to Chīsana-Mura Health and Wellness Center. It is believed that assistant director Takashi Tsu may have had prior contact with the life form, and copies of his notes could be valuable to us.
This resulted in a confrontation between our researchers and Chief Constable Jo Kogotana.
Amusingly, the information that we had failed to confiscate was offered to us openly only days later.
Against the advisement of Operator Lin, Agent Zed has contacted several people of interest across Chisana-Mura to collect local folklore and access to sensitive locations. It would seem that the investigation is leading the team ever closer to the Ichishin-Magami Temple.
People of interest include Lt. constable Useto Habiki, (Censored), (Censored), and (Censored). We had attempted to contact an expert on local history, Setkura Nekoba, but it seemed he was unavailable to take our call.
Local church official (Censored), had shared with us some pieces of interesting information. The township, so it is told, had once been located higher up the hillside. But a group of rogue monks, that had taken to nature worship were possessed to set fire to the village. The survivors of this had relocated to the current location.
The rogue monks had a symbol, an object to their obsession: A stone, fist-sized, egg-shaped and smooth, silver in color. This object, if it is real, maybe the artifact in question.
There is another shape that is inspiring concern in me. A butterfly, time, and time again, we see this shape. Spray-painted on walls, cut into trees, the shape whispers to us.
May 9th
The electrical engineer has requested access to thermographic software from the NWS. It has been noted that the weather in this area seems to be anachronistic to that of the surrounding locations.
Analyzing the data at hand, it would seem that the artifact is generating an EM field 40.02km2.
Agent Zed has taken an interest in a local ceremony being conducted. He describes a man being nailed to a raft, his body painted white and dressed in linin, then pushed into the river that cuts through the town. There was a time when pagan rituals like these were prevalent everywhere. But today it seems only people living in isolated communities still do.
A child had gone missing, several members of our team overheard. It may or may not be related to our case. More information is being gathered.
May 10th
Dr. (censored) at the Health and Wellness Center has provided us with a blood sample. From Ri Hanzo. This blood contains aspects uncommon of humans. Including, but not limited to:
Two complete RNA strands
Nuroreactive chemicals
Abnormal high white blood cell count (WBCs 12,000 P/cml).
Divinorum,
Galantamine,
Succinylcholine,
Gamma-aminobutyric acid
This is considered strange for a human.
It was also discovered that a radioactive isotope was found to have contaminated the sample.
Even though at this point, we have yet to observe the artifact directly, we are becoming aware of its effects.
For the second time, the team witnesses the pagan death rite practiced by the people of the infected town. It is to be understood that the ritual did not conclude as expected this time.
If I am to understand correctly, the raft holding the deceased capsized, and according to the gathered, this is an omen of some sort.
Allegedly, an overturned raft leads to some kind of thinning of the "spectral barrier." Reported one observer of the ritual.
May 12th
The NDF has been contacted, all transports coming and going from the township are being stopped. A slash and burn team is patrolling the woods around the village.
Officials are being consulted. Our team was advised to abandon our current containment efforts. SCP MNGR has ordered us to disregard this warning, capture, and cantonment of SPC-XXXX cannot be postponed.
Resources have inhibited, primary communications are suspended. We are switching to short band radio; future contacts will be temporally recorded on portable, and analog devices.
Operative L has contacted the domestic government to inform them of the situation. (Clearance type 1 intel only). Chief constable Jo Kogotana has agreed to act as an operative on behalf of the agency for the duration of this mission. SLAPP order is to be filed after debriefing.
More instances of the butterfly glyph have been observed. Some members of our team imply that they believe that the SCP-XXXX cult spoken of by our asset may be alive and well. (Perhaps we should file these SCP-xxxx cultist as SCP-xxxx-2)
May 13th
Previously observed alien sickness (to be referenced as SCP-xxxx-3) is becoming noticeably pandemic in the community. It has been noted that dead bodies are starting to pile up on the streets, cleanup efforts have failed.
Strange weather patterns continue.
Contact with off coast satellite relay network has been compromised. The lost ship was quickly found by field agents, run ashore. SCRAM (Security Control, Redirect Assessment, and Mobility) protocol was enacted. All institute software aboard the derelict vessel was scrubbed.
May 14th
Dr. (censored) at the Health and Wellness Center has provided our team with the first hard data on type 3 hostile life form (SCP-XXXX-2) previously observed.

“…patient skin temperature is at 68.8°f; heart rate is 0 b/pm, brain activity is 2.5zH and sustaining, the room has been scanned for background EM. Interments are expected to function within 1.4 deviations. 0 detectable raspatory activity. Skin and muscle are showing no signs of rigamortis. It would appear the vascular systems are functioning without the need for the heart to be beating….”
“….The body is laterally symmetrical, two harts, six-chambered, in both hemispheres. Lungs attach to shoulder blades, hidden completely by ribs and heart; it would seem that the bone structure is hollow, and there is segmentation between the shoulders. Stomachs are multichambered. The small intestine, kidneys, and pancreases all seem to be absent….”
“…Liver and sex glands are engorged, a secondary uterus is present, as is an unknown organ that seems to bridge the oval ducts. Muscular fiber is porous. A pocket-like protrusion can be seen within the chest cavity.

Agent Zed was announced KIA by his team in a confrontation with SCP-XXXX-2.
Jo Kogotana has recovered the body and the research notes in Zed’s possession. The institute will recover the intel.
May 16th
NDF has cut power and water to the town; exit is now impossible. CDCI has imposed a maximum-level quarantine. Sterilization is imminent.
One last push will be made to find SCP-XXXX before it is lost permanently. To continue, the mission team needed to act as CDCI investigators.
May 18th
Researchers witnessed significant particle field disruption. Groundwater tables under the Center for Health and Wellness shifted discreetly, resulting in the structure being sucked into the ground. Numerous injuries.
May 21st
Sterilization has begun. Under the orders of the Emperor, NDF has burned the town of Chīsana-Mura, Japan, to ashes. We were fortunate to have had assists in the area. Several Persons of Interest were recovered from the wreckage. SCP-XXXX has been recovered. Research can now begin in earnest. In a stroke of luck, we were also able to capture a live specimen of SCP-XXXX-2

Description:**
Approximately egg-shaped, 96 ounces, diameter 319.6 mm.
Object has fused itself to the subject (censored). Object would seem to have sentients. But can not live on its own. It must attach itself to a host, dermally, possibly feeding off the endothermic nature of the host.
For 36 hours after contact with object, little to no effects were observable. The subject complained about head pain and hearing a continuous humming or whispering sound.
Object appears to take actions to guide and protect the host. After ‘incubation’ is complete, SCP-XXXX generates a zero-point EMF. The size of the field generated is inconsistent. Sometimes as small as three yards, other times stretching to 100 yards. Object coming in contact with zero-point EMF becomes geocentrically locked in space.
Subject after 90 hours in contact with SCP-XXXX pulsates with cosmic radiation. A microwave field entwines the body. The host is losing sense of self. Can speak if spoken to but no longer in any know languages.
Researchers how had close contact with SCP-XXXX within the first hours of it becoming attached to its host suffer dramatic head pain and trouble sleeping. Those that have been in contact with EMF have shown signs of cytopenia, difficulties breathing, and hair loss. These individuals have been quarantined until the nature of their infliction can be better understood.
SCP-XXXX has also affected the climate controls of the laboratory. SCP-XXXX cell will not drop bellow 106°f; every 16 hours, it would also trigger the fire alarms until we started ‘watering’ the cage.
Computers, watches, and phones are not promoted within 300 yards of SCP-XXXX. The illness related to the EMF seems to be able to be transferred by contact with these devices. (SCP-XXXX-3
Containment:
The host life form has been placed into a 100x100 cell. Concert with led backing. And fitted with a tether preventing him from approaching the door to the cell. A buffer hallway has been added 300 yards long in approach to the hoist life form.
Anyone wishing to observe SCP-XXXX is to be fitted with a SCUB-suit and will not be allowed more than 3 hours of observation per week. All activity will be documented in hard format before copied onto the network at a later time.

Description:
At the time in which SCP-XXXX-2 arrived, it was entwined in a semi-plastic-leather like substance, a blue-red film covering it. After the first time, SCP-XXXX triggered climate controls and raised the temperature in the labs to 107.6°f, the cocoon split.
From out of it stepped a toddler; within hours, she grew to the size of a teen and before sunset, she was a full-grown woman, she discarded her skin and transformed into an exoskeletal thripid. Four arms, two legs, two sets of wings. Her body sprouted white and tan fur, her eyes approximately three times the size of a normal human eye. A hook grows from the center of her face hiding the bladed tongue underneath.
She seems to have a secondary set of fangs that are hidden by a cavity in the side of her head located paralleled to the nasal cavity. Despite the idea that she is only days old, she has a lifetime worth of memories and experiences to call on. She can speak and is oddly accommodating to our desire to perform test on her. She insists on us calling her Sakura.
It has been discovered that there is a sex gland located under SCP-XXXX-2’s tongue that has the secondary effect of filling the bloodstream with a Nero-inhibitive substance. Every eighty-sixes hours if acid buildup around the organ is not drained, it forces SCP-XXXX-2 to self-destruct.
It seems if SCP-XXXX-2 dies in this way, her body returns to an infinitely state, and so long as the conditions in the facility are favorable, she returns to her adult form within 48 hours.
We have found through continued examinations that SCP-XXXX-2 has many built-in self-defense mechanisms. A swollen olfactory gland, a pheromone gland, and a venom gland. These three units activated in tandem seems to have a powerful effect on anyone caught in the area of effect of the blast.
The pheromone gland alone leaves a trail behind Sakura SCP-XXXX-2, inspiring people to treat her in a friendly way. Despite her monstrous exterior, she does not inspire fear.
The venom gland, when triggered, releases a toxin that lowers inhabitation. People exposed lose the will to fight when tested under laboratory conditions 1/7th of the people exposed become openly self-destructive. In 1/16th, it inspired uncontrollable cardanol needs. In more copious amounts, this results in cardiac arrest.
The pheromone and venom together have an effect that can only be described ‘domination of the mind.’
Test subjects for weeks after exposer to either chemical complain about nightmares and chronic musical fatigue.
Most impressive is the effect of contact with the acid drawn from Sakura’s sex gland neurotoxin.
If the acid realized from the tongue is exposed to human blood, the blood gains a level of awareness. It seems to mutate and divide. We are about to commence human testing.
