SCP-#### is to be kept in a small room. One security guard must be present at all times, and only Personnel with Level-3 access are permitted to handle and transport the object.
Description:
SCP-#### is an antique, bronze door pull recovered from an abandoned storage unit at ████,█ from the —deceased— owner R███,███. Its measurements are 0.4m in height, 0.1m in width, and a depth of 0.4m from its rectangular base up to the farthest extending point of the handles. The undermost part of the base is sleek, with no evidence detailing it having been welded onto any solid surface. Further testing has revealed that any attempts of scratching, corroding, or blunt trauma prove ineffective at distorting the handles present shape. The piece is estimated to be of 50 years of age, but presently, its age has no correlation to its anomalous traits.
The object, when applied to any solid, flat surface with sufficient pressure, will ‘meld’ onto the surface and instantaneously carve out a rectangular shape resembling that of a door. Presently, it can not create doorways on flat surface areas les then 1 meter in length and width. Upon detaching the handle, 45 Newtons of force are required to pull off. The door opens inwards, and manifests a second handle on the opposite side of the doorway, with the opposite side of the material placed on is manifested as well. The primary handle is incapable of being detached when the doorway is open and can only be detached when it is closed. The second instance can be pulled off but de-manifests when attempts to enter it into our domain are made; local reality objects are unaffected. Further testing with D-class reveals that the second instance can manifest doorways in its domain; further exploration is to be conducted.
Observation of the internal domains of individually manifested doorways has revealed there to be 3 primary objects present in each one. A two-story farmhouse, a wooden shed, and a cherry tree approximately 12 years of age, located on a plot of land made of soil, partially covered with grass. No other edifices or objects can be seen beyond the horizon.
No significant changes appear between each newly created domain. Minor changes consist of time of day being noon or morning, height of grass, and color of paint on the farmhouse.
Addendum-1:
A small group of MTF Lambda-5 was sent into one of the domains in a reconnaissance mission. They were instructed to use the secondary handle to open new doorways on the walls of the house and/or shed in the domain and explore into “20 domains” before returning. The primary doorway was left open and a second small group of MTF Lambda-5 was left to guard the primary doorway. Testing was done on a 5 x 5 m of standing concrete slab in a large sized room on Site-█.
The group did not return back to Site-█, and after 3 days, were presumed deceased. One day after being presumed deceased, the group of MTF units returned back to Site-█ after being able to renter local reality, but had to traverse ██ km of rough terrain to reach Site-█. Upon questioning, MTF units had passed 5 domains before their doorway was closed behind them by a middle-aged, Caucasian man. MTF units quickly detained the man, but any attempts to gain useful answers proved futile, as he provided incomprehensible comments. On the third day, MTF units tested the handle on a flat patch of dirt, which created a feeble doorway back to local reality. The man de-manifested when MTF units attempted to bring the man into the local reality. A request by the man to “want to see them again” was made 1 hour prior to the freedom of the MTF units.
Wireless devices and most electromagnetic based electronics become unusable when entered into the domain. When brought back to local reality, they work as expected with no observable damages. Only non-electromagnetic devices prove to be reliable in the foreign reality.
Addendum-2:
A secondary team of MTF Lambda-5 was sent into SCP-####. They entered equipped with a tape recorder and provisions to last for one week. Traversing the domains, contact with several copies of the man (now referred to as SCP-####-A) was made, but meaningful conversations proved futile. █ SCP-####-As were interrogated/passed before one SCP-####-A had a comprehensible conversation with MTF unit leader.
