SCP-5851

Item#: SCP-5851

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The original land and parking spaces purchased by the Foundation surrounding SCP-5851 have been disguised and rebuilt as a large warehouse witch has become Site-███.

Entrance to Site-███ is strictly and continuously monitored by SCP personnel temporarily housed within. No entity is allowed to enter the premises without clearance from the Senior Researcher and Head of Security (both from within the premises).

All test subjects must be constantly monitored whenever interacting with SCP-5851 and its contents. No test subjects have been cleared for further testing at other facilities because of the unknown long term effects of SCP-5851. In the exception of participants D-Class No. 3614893, D-Class No. 9613594, D-Class No. 1684799, and D-Class No. 87686821 are cleared for further experimentation at other sites.

Under any circumstance, it is crucial that no items leave the premises and most importantly SCP-585. All previous items pertaining to SCP-5851 have been recovered and accounted for.

Description: SCP-5851 is an averagely sized Adidas Outlet store measuring in about 300 meters squared. The store was previously owned and operated by the popular clothing brand Adidas.

The building itself and all its features have remained intact despite the fact that many high standing personal oppose the maintaining of the exterior of the store (because of obvious safety precautions like roof access). The reason for this remains unclear, but researchers have found that upon seeing SCP-5851 entities seem drawn-to and interested in SCP-5851. Researchers found that ██████ █████████ who was a strong advocate for changing the exterior of SCP-5851 changed his mind after viewing the building in person. █████████ later gave the order to toughen the security of the warehouse instead of SCP-5851.

SCP-5851-1 is the original interior of the store, upon entering test subjects have been found to report a feeling described as "calm, and cool" test subjects have said that this feeling comes from seeing, touching, and smelling anything in SCP-5851-1. This feeling was also reported by subjects who were visually impaired. It should be noted that SCP-5851-1 is currently described and classified as the 300-meter physical space, including walls, floor, ceiling, windows, doors, smell, and anything pertaining to the architectural and physical design of the space.

SCP-5851-2 can only be described as the actual Adidas clothes that the original outlet would sell if it continued in its original unconfined state. SCP-5851-2 is the classification term used for everything that the store contains. This includes shirts, shoes, jackets, sweatshirts, tank tops, sweatpants, backpacks and all other accessories commonly found at Adidas outlets. SCP-5851-2 is changed every couple of days, being commonly restocked and re-organized with new confirmed official clothes during the period from 21:00 to 09:00. All attempts to view, witness, videotape, and record anything during this time period have been futile. The entrance to SCP-5851 automatically closes and locks by itself. All footage taken within SCP-5851 from 21:00 to 09:00 is mysteriously missing.

Test subjects who have been given orders to stay and document inside the store have attempted to leave at the original closing time of 09:00 some resulting in violent outbursts. Subjects could not remember why they wanted to leave SCP-5851 before 09:00 despite being aware of the consequences of disobeying orders. Subjects who were restrained and placed inside the store a few minutes before 09:00 were found asleep in the restrained position, the subjects reported having blacked out the moment the doors locked. Further attempts to document what happens during 21:00 to 09:00 have stopped.

Inside SCP-5851 there are 3 self-checkout stations and 4 non-operational cashier stations.
Tests have found that when a subject attempts to steal from SCP-5851 the subject feels sick and when questioned explains they felt a moral obligation to pay. D-Class No. 3614893, a notoriously disobedient and contumacious subject confessed that he felt "sick to the core" when attempting to exit SCP-5851 with a sample of SCP-5851-2 without paying. All currency that is given to SCP-5851 through one of the cash registers is directly added to the profit of a seemingly random Adidas outlet. The Foundation has not found a way to stop this.

SCP-5851-2 is considered by the Foundation to be an extremely important SCP as it seemingly boosts morale. The Foundation is currently focusing on several research teams across several sites to continue experimentation of SCP-5851-2. Currently, no long term causes of phycological and physical harm are known, but further experimentation is needed. Several reports on SCP-5851-2 are attached below.

The following reports describe several important tests, instances, and incidents concerning SCP-5851, SCP-5851-1, and SCP-5851-2

SCP-5851-2 Test#28

MTF Operative █████ ████████ volunteered to wear a shirt pertaining to SCP-5851-2 during a low danger mission taking place on Site-███ on ██/██/20██. Once the operative exited the premises he was debriefed. █████ ████████ told researchers that the shirt definitely helped him cope with a major part of the stress in the mission. █████ ████████ gave the following statement, "The shirt helped me, it was comfortable, it let air circulate, I sweated a lot less in this shirt than I do others. I also found it ester to take orders and cooperate with my teammates." █████ ████████ continued to use several articles of clothing pertaining to SCP-5851-2 for several months. When █████ ████████ was sent on a mission without SCP-5851-2 he testified to being less comfortable and being easily annoyed by small problems concerning his outfit. He also told researchers that he found himself thinking about SCP-5851-2 and SCP-5851 in general. After a month of not using SCP-5851-2 entities, he seemingly has not returned his original mental state before using SCP-5851-2. █████ ████████ is now temporarily housed at site Site-███ for close monitoring.

SCP-5851-2 Test#47

Several members of D-Class have participated in tests concerning SCP-5851-2, most tests have been successful resulting in little to no injury of D-Class participants. Participants: D-Class No. 3614893, D-Class No. 9613594, D-Class No. 1684799, and D-Class No. 87686821 are cleared for further experimentation at other sites (within 10 days of release from Site-███). All participants have been found to give similar feedback. All participants reported feeling good, comfortable, and inspired when using SCP-5851-2. SCP-5851-2 has been found to increase morale substantially, with very few negative effects. The only substantial problem that the Foundation might face is needing to give all users of SCP-5851-2 a new article each month. This is because the older a sample of SCP-5851-2 is, the more a user might find themself's thinking about SCP-5851-2. This phycological effect is so potent over time that the user's reaction time is slowed by several seconds. An example of this would be SCP-5851-2 Incident#7 latter listed bellow.

SCP-5851-2 Test#32

All participants in Test#32 could tell SCP-5851-2 from a regular Adidas clothing article. In SCP-5851-2 Test#32-1 two identical Adidas trefoil jackets were placed on mannequins side by side. When participants were asked to pick one the always picked SCP-5851-2. In the most extreme test, where participants were given the choice between freedom and SCP-5851-2 they picked SCP-5851-2. No participants explained why they made this choice, and no participants expressed regret later.

SCP-5851-2 Incident#7

D-Class No. 1684799 was wearing a month old SCP-5851-2 Trefoil Adidas Jacket during the incident, which happened on ██/██/20██ at 11:54. D-Class No. 1684799 was walking towards the cafeteria in Site-███ when an out of control heavy-duty carrier trolly was rolling at a high speed towards him.
D-Class No. 1684799 was alerted of the trolly about 3 seconds before striking him D-Class No. 1684799 did not start to react until about .5 seconds before the trolly hit him. D-Class No. 1684799 suffered a concussion and a broken arm and was severely bruised. D-Class No. 1684799 has recovered and the researchers have taken extra precautions to make sure subjects interacting with SCP-5851-2 are safe.

Tests and reports on SCP-5851 are awaiting clearance for publication. Several tests are still being conducted on SCP-5851
