SCP-2305201915062002011212
Containment Procedures
SCP-2305201915062002011212 must be kept in the centre of a 10m-by-10m cell at all times, with air conditioning active and set to 8 degrees Celcius. The cell must be at least 10 kilometres from any urban development, and at least 5 kilometres from any multi-storey establishment, including the SCP foundation headquarters. 24-hour surveillance is necessary, monitoring the position of SCP-2305201915062002011212, and correcting it if it moves from the centre. No solid food should be given to it, only liquids poured on its surface, as the current state of SCP-2305201915062002011212 still requires more study.
Description
SCP-2305201915062002011212 appears, to the outside world, as a wet softball. It weighs the same amount, has the same shape, and has the same chemical elements, as far as our top scientists can tell. The wet manner of SCP-2305201915062002011212 was obtained from being thrown into some water, which is when it first gained its anomalous properties. When SCP-2305201915062002011212 is in range of any flight of stairs, those stairs will instantly become unavailable and unsafe. So far, any other wet softball does not have this effect near stairs, even though created in the same manner. When any stairs are affected by SCP-2305201915062002011212, they will remain affected for an amount of 6 days, after which the stairs will revert to their regular state. Any attempt to climb or descend affected stairs will result in near-death injury, as displayed by a number of D-Class personnel. Further research is required, as the origins of this ability is still unknown.
