Experiment 4258-1-A:
Subject: D class D-683-21
Test: D-683-21 is to enter the chamber containing SCP-4258, enter SCP-4258-A, and then place noise canceling headphones over his body's ears.
Results: When the headphones were placed over his ears, D-683-21 discontinued perceiving SCP-4258-A.
Experiment 4258-1-F:
Subject: D class D-683-21
Test: D-683-21 is to enter the chamber containing SCP-4258, enter SCP-4258-A, and then attempt to look through any window other than the windscreen.
Transcribed Audio Log:
Doctor Blake: Describe what you are seeing.
D-683-21: It's the same thing as usual, Doctor. I'm in my ma's old Camero, but all the windows are blacked out except the windscreen. I have to tell you Doc, this doesn't stop feeling weird as hell.
Doctor Blake: Your discomfort is noted. Now tell me what you see if you look closely through the side windows.
D-683-21: I dunno, it's pretty much totally black. Can't see a thing. But i'm pretty sure the door's unlo-
[The sound of D-683-21's body collapsing to the floor is heard]
End Log
Results: By the time D-683-21 was safely recovered from SCP-4258's chambers, he had perished. Attempting to exit SCP-4258-A has proven fatal to subject. Further testing required.
Experiment 4258-1-G:
Subject: D class D-439-76
Test: D-439-76 is to be escorted into the chamber containing SCP-4258 after being hooked into a life support system that monitors and regulates breathing and heart rate. D-439-76 is to be accompanied by Foundation staff equipped with completely soundproof headgear. Once under the influence of SCP-4258, the subject is to attempt to exit SCP-4258-A.
Results: After being asked to exit SCP-4258-A, D-439-76's body became reliant on the life support systems. His body was kept stable for 3 minutes before regaining consciousness in an extremely distressed state. D-439-76 refused to answer any questions until they were removed from the presence of SCP-4258.
Transcribed Audio Log:
Doctor Blake: Now, what happened after you went through the door?
D-439-76: Okay, well um, after I went through the door, the first thing that hit me was the noise. That goddamn static, it drowned out everything else. I can still fucking hear it, ringing in my ears.
Doctor Blake: And what did you see?
D-439-76: Well, outside the door was crazy. I was in this huge, open field with this strange white grass, all the way up to my knees. All around the place, there were these huge black tower things. But the most weird thing was the sky. It looked like when they fast forward the sky in movies? Like, to show time passing or whatever? But it wasn't clouds that were flying past, it looked like massive, shifting rocks or something. All sorts of colors. I must have been staring at that sky for like, an hour at least. I kept feeling like I would get a glimpse of something above those rocks. There was definitely something up there.
Doctor Blake: And you say you stared at the sky for an hour?
D-439-76: Oh yeah, for sure. An hour at least.
[The sound of Doctor Blake writing something into his notes]
Doctor Blake: And then what happened?
D-439-76: I probably would have kept staring up at that sky, but all of a sudden I noticed something on the ground, in the distance. It was pretty far away, but it seemed massive. Like, as big as a building.
Doctor Blake: Was it humanoid?
D-439-76: You mean did it look like a person? I mean, I definitely have never seen a person that big, or with that many legs. It didn't seem to have a torso either. Or a face? As I said, it was really far away, but from what I could see it looked like a bunch of legs all joined at one point.
Doctor Blake: Did it interact with you at all?
D-439-76: Well, after I looked at it, it started shuffling toward me, and everything inside me was yelling to get the hell out of there. When I turned around, I realized that I hadn't actually come out of my old mini van, it was actually another one of those massive tower things with my mini van door stuck on it. But I was definitely not gonna stick around to think about that.
Notes: The beings described in this Log are to be described as instances of SCP-4258-B from here on.
Experiment 4258-1-H:
Subject: Researcher Adams
Test: Researcher Adams is to be escorted into the chamber containing SCP-4258 after being hooked into a life support system that monitors and regulates breathing and heartrate. Researcher Adams is to be accompanied by Foundation staff equipped with completely soundproof headgear. Once under the influence of SCP-4258, Researcher Adams is to exit SCP-4258-A, and attempt to make visual contact with SCP-4258-B.
Result: After being asked to exit SCP-4258-A, Researcher Adams lost consciousness for approximately 1 second before regaining consciousness in a distressed state. Researcher Adams was then removed from SCP-4258's chamber before being interviewed.
Transcribed Audio Log:
Doctor Blake: What happened after you exited SCP-4258-A?
Researcher Adams: I went through the door, and the noise was immediate. It sounded very similar to the static produced by SCP-4258, but so much louder and I couldn't shut it out, even if I blocked my ears. The clearing I stepped into was slightly different to the one previously described, with a body of dark water to my right and much shorter grass. But as soon as I stepped out into the clearing, there were three instances of SCP-4258-B probably 500 meters ahead of me, standing in a triangle. Each of the entities stood at about two stories tall, and stood on approximately 13 leg-like appendages. Each of the legs was a kind of pale blue, and they were composed of what two taut muscles connected between each joint, which seemed to flex and vibrate to manipulate a flat opening that ran up and down each leg. The body that all of the legs were connected to was relatively small compared to the legs, but was covered in hundreds of holes, which convulsed and relaxed in what I can only assume was breathing. After I had gotten a good look at those beings, I looked at the centre of the triangle, and it looked like there was a person standing there. The person was male, completely naked, and he looked pretty emaciated. He had his eyes closed with his head turned up toward the sky, and I noticed there was dried blood caked all around his ears and mouth. I called out to him, and he immediately turned to look at me with terribly bloodshot eyes. He started stumbling towards me, and mouthing words, while blood started to weep from the sores around his mouth. As he began to run, the SCP-4258-B instances moved to follow him, and I decided the safest option was to retreat back to SCP-4258-A.
Experiment 4258-1-K:
Subject: D class D-439-76 and D-186-92
Test: D-439-76 and D-186-92 are to be escorted into the chamber containing SCP-4258 after being hooked into a life support system that monitors and regulates breathing and heart rate. Once under the influence of SCP-4258, the subjects are to exit SCP-4258-A, and attempt to make contact with each other.
Result: After being asked to exit SCP-4258-A, the subjects lost consciousness for 4 hours, when D-439-76 opened their eyes, seemingly unable to speak, stand, or communicate in any meaningful way. 1 hour later, D-186-92 awakened in this same state. After medical treatment where no physical ailments were identified, D-439-76 and D-186-92 were interviewed in Medical Bay 129-C.
Transcribed Video Log:
Doctor Blake: Do either of you recall what happened today?
[No response from either subject other than heavy, laboured breathing]
Doctor Blake: D-439-76, blink your eyes twice if you understand what I am saying.
[After a few minutes without a response, a soft hum is heard from D-439-76]
Doctor Blake: Stop humming if you understand what I am saying.
[D-439-76 begins shifting their position in their cot, and the humming shifts to a more defined tone]
[D-186-92 moves their head closer to D-439-76 and begins to hum in harmony with D-439-76]
Doctor Blake: If you can comprehend what I-
[Doctor Blake is cut off as the sounds coming from both D-186-92 and D-439-76 simultaneously spike in volume and clarity, with the tones produced being recorded at a consistent sine wavelength of 783.99 Hz and 1174.66 Hz, and at a peak volume of 136 dB]
[Doctor Blake is escorted out of the room, and Foundation security personnel are called in to incapacitate D-186-92 and D-439-76]
