If any organism is on said security means, they are to be escorted out and treated with Class-A amnestics. SCP-XXXX current containment is in Provisional Area-9 which is an approximated 42 kilometers offshore of Lake Superior.

Under no circumstance should anybody come in contact with SCP-XXXX's1 unless authorized by level-3 personnel or a senior researcher.

Effective radius, red indicating fog.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a small island with a counted three (3) dead trees and dead plant life. SCP-XXXX seems to influence the moisture encompassing it, causing fog2 to emit around the island. It is unknown how this phenomenon occurs. The mist has been seen to decrease the amount of serotonin in the brain rapidly. The fog has been measured to reach an approximated distance of 600 meters.

Any organism3 that reaches this fog begin excessive grief and guilt. Moving closer towards the island causes the stated organism's depression becomes worse. On reaching the island the organism's distress becomes critical enough to cause the entity to perform suicide.

Following death, the organic matter converts into a list of distinct objects that form a new division land. After a variable amount of expansion occurs, the island attempts to create new objects such as:

  • Rocks
  • Trees
  • Twigs/Sticks

Any rocks that are composed take the shape of a human skeleton for several hours, gradually forming into sedimentary rock. These rocks take the form of the victim's skeletal system while contracting to build either numerous pebbles or large stones.
When forming a tree, the victim begins protruding roots from each orifice.
