Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1254 is to be kept in a six meter by six meter containment chamber reinforced by a one meter thick titanium wall. The chamber must have a
viewing platform at least 5 meters from the floor of the chamber. There are to be no chamber entrances as no known sedation method has proven effective on the entity.
SCP-1254 is to be fed 1 kg of lamb every six hours otherwise the entity will attempt to breach containment. If a breach occurs then a site lock-down must be initiated and no Personnel are allowed to exit the site until MTF Units re-contain SCP-1254. SCP-1254 is observed to scratch on the north wall of its containment chamber and typically paces around its chamber always admitting a low growling.
Note: Due to SCP-1254's unpredictable behaviour, 05-[DATA RETRACTED] has advised that any change in this must be logged and all Personnel must be on high alert for a possible containment breach.
The containment chamber must be guarded by two heavily armed guards at all times and have one camera facing downwards towards the floor.
The chamber must be cleaned regularly by four D-Class Personnel accompanied by one armed guard for any holes or damage done to the outer wall due to SCP-1254 constant scratching. SCP-1254 must be lured away into a steel cube that will be lowed down in to the chamber and must be secured before extracting the entity.
Description: SCP-1254 is a quadrupedal entity that resembles a normal American Black Bear but with noticeable deformities. These deformities consist of elongated canine teeth and claws both a meter long, fur missing from the entity front and back legs and has no pupils in it's eyes. When in a close proximity of SCP-1254 the smell of rotting flesh which gets stronger the closer the person is to it. It was discovered in Colorado in the town of [DATA RETRACTED] when Foundation Personnel were called to investigate a serge of missing Person cases. It was found next to a riverbank and was restrained and was sent to Site-[DATA RETRACTED] for permanent containment.
SCP-1254 is approximately three meters in length and about two meters in height. The entity can move approximately [DATA RETRACTED] but ongoing testing may indicate that it could reach faster speeds when it ages.
SCP-1254 origins are believed to be caused by contact with a large source of radiation when it was a juvenile. This would have caused the deformities as traces if uranium have been found in its fur.
SCP-1254 is extremely hostile to any Human subjects after tests with Primates and D-Class. When in contact with Humans SCP-1254 will attack with its teeth and claws trying to immobilise the legs and arms before ripping off the persons head with its mouth.
