Item #: SCP-XXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXX is to be contained within a 273 meter long by 30 meter wide by 15 meter deep drydock which is to be filled with water up to the waterline. The walkways around SCP-XXX should not have any way to board SCP-XXX directly and must be moved into place. The walls surrounding this large containment cell is to be constructed of steel no thinner than 30cm and if it should become damaged, it should be repaired immediately.
Should an entity of SCP-XXX-01 manage to get off SCP-XXX in any way, they are to be sedated before attempting to move them back on board.
Description:
SCP-XXX is an identical copy of the fated ocean liner 'RMS Titanic' however the ship has an unsettling aura around it.
As well as this, SCP-XXX also has the ability to make weak minded individuals jump into the water which it sits in until they die of hypothermia. (See Addendum #XXX-1)
SCP-XXX has the ability to chill water to around -2 degrees Celsius which is what it was reported to be on the date the real ship sank.
SCP-XXX also has entities aboard called SCP-XXX-01 and these entities resemble all real passengers and crew that were onboard the ship however this also includes people who didn't stay on for the full voyage and crew that was switched out before her maiden voyage.
SCP-XXX-01 appear human with the only difference being their large sharp fangs. They will remain docile most of the time however if a night is moonless and clear they will become hostile and attempt to tear out the throats of individuals whilst screaming.
SCP-XXX-01 crew members are able to activate the engines and use the boilers meaning the ship is fully functional and can therefore actually sail however if the ship is used without water being present, it will start to malfunction and cause damage to technology within a 200 meter range.
SCP-XXX was discovered on 04/14/2012 after a number of civilians began reporting sightings of a 'Ghost Ship' during the hundredth (100th) year anniversary.
Addendum #XXX-1
A sample of the water in SCP-XXX containment area was taken for research and an 'Unknown Composition' was found. It is theorised this is what causes the water to change temperature.
The water when first added was natural sea water however over time it changed composition therefore further analysis was taken.
The further analysis included taking a sample of the anti-fouling paint from SCP-XXX's hull and the same 'Unknown Composition' was found there too indicating the ship has the ability to change the composition of water.
As of now the 'Unknown Composition' is being called ██████████
