Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a standard S1 humanoid containment chamber outfitted with four Scranton Reality Anchors at Site-19. SCP-XXXX is to be provided with literature, entertainment, and other physical assets upon request. Routine weekly psychiatric evaluations are to be scheduled for SCP-XXXX, to be conducted by an on-site professional. If SCP-XXXX is determined to be hostile to humanity during an assessment, Protocol XXXX-ALPHA will be carried out immediately.
MTF Gamma-12 "Silent Night" is to monitor neighboring inhabited zones for signs of ontokinetic shifts. Should SCP-XXXX breach containment, or cause reality shifts constituting a breach of containment, protocol XXXX-ALPHA is to be carried out immediately. Failure to comply will result in summary termination.
Contact with SCP-XXXX is limited to authorized personnel given prior clearance by Head Researcher Mikhail Carter.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an approximately 28-year-old female appearing to be of Asian descent. SCP-XXXX displays no abnormal physical appearance or property, and responds only to "Marie". SCP-XXXX's anomalous ability manifests in its speech, which displays the ontokinetic ability to shift reality to comply with the parameters of SCP-XXXX's statements.
SCP-XXXX's sphere of influence is currently unknown, though speculation suggests there is no upper limit, provided SCP-XXXX possesses prior knowledge of the subjects of its abilities.
Addendum: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was first observed following a standard observation of energy shifts across the continental United States. Field Agents observed a sizable decrease in humes concentrated in a singular residence in Houston, Texas. Agents were dispatched to investigate and found SCP-XXXX sitting in a chair, watching television. They were willingly detained and interrogated.

INTERVIEWER: Mobile Task Force Agent Thomas Mayorkas
INTERVIEWEE: SCP-XXXX
[BEGIN VIDEO RECORDING]
Agent Mayorkas: "Good Afternoon, Marie."
SCP-XXXX: "Who are you? Where am I?… Is this what I think it is?"
Mayorkas: "Oh, of course. My apologies. My name is Thomas, and I work for the SCP Foundation. You, Marie, are in a Foundation Containment Facility- a place that helps keep people with abilities like yours… safe. Now, I'd like to ask you a few quick questions, if you wouldn't mind?"
[SCP-XXXX smiles wryly and chuckles.]
SCP-XXXX: "Like I have any choice. Otherwise, I'd have to…" [She trails off.]
Mayorkas: "What?… Kill us?"
SCP-XXXX: [She purses her lips and speaks slowly.] "You could say that, Tom."
Mayorkas: "Uh… it's actually Thomas. And… could you elaborate?"
SCP-XXXX: "Not if you want to live, Thomas."
Mayorkas: "I see."
[Agent Mayorkas looks down at his clipboard, writing quickly. After a moment, he looks up again and clears his throat.]
Mayorkas: "Now then. Did anything… unnatural, or out of the ordinary happen to you around the time we met you?"
SCP-XXXX: "Well… not really. Not for me at least. But I have a feeling you might be interested…"
Mayorkas: "You'd be right about that."
SCP-XXXX: "Of course I am. I'm always right, Tom… you mind if I call you Tom instead? You don't mind, I know that. I've always been able to… change things. Like the past. Or TV shows… or your preference for a nickname."
Mayorkas: "But I've always preferred Tom over Thomas… and what do you mean by 'the past?'…"
SCP-XXXX: "The history we all know and love is that way because of me. Arrogant, I know, but true. If, for example- and I am not saying it did happen, but simply theoretically- if I said that 'the Cold War ended when the United States collapsed in 1999', then that would set in motion exactly that, followed by its logical consequences."
Mayorkas: "How often do you use these powers?"
SCP-XXXX: "How often do you ask annoying questions?"
Mayorkas: "I see…. I believe that is all."
[SCP-XXXX leans over the table and whispers something unintelligible. Mayorkas looks up at her and nods.]
Mayorkas: "Alright. Thank you, Marie. You've been very helpful, and I will be in touch."
[END VIDEO RECORDING]
Following Interview XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX was placed in standard S1 humanoid containment at Site-19. Weekly psychiatric evaluations are scheduled with onsite mental health professionals.
Addendum: Testing Logs
The following files pertain to experiments performed with SCP-XXXX's ontokinetic abilities.
TESTING LOG XXXX-1
DATE: 04/17/2019
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in a testing chamber, and instructed to repeat the phrase "I can levitate." Immediately, SCP-XXXX began levitating a few centimeters above the ground. Researchers reported she looked pleased.
CONCLUSION: SCP-XXXX's baseline abilities appear to align with her testimony, but further testing is required. ~Mikhail Carter
TESTING LOG XXXX-2
DATE: 04/18/2019
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in the testing chamber, and instructed to repeat that "this room is full of water". Immediately, a nearby pipe burst, flooding the room with water. SCP-XXXX was safely extracted by security personnel.
CONCLUSION: SCP-XXXX's baseline abilities are further confirmed in this test. Also, I'm not paying for the water damage.~Mikhail Carter
TESTING LOG XXXX-3
DATE: 04/19/2019
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in the testing chamber with the door sealed and locked, and instructed to escape the room however they saw fit. Subject claimed to possess a keycard for the door, which they then pulled out of their pocket, and used to open the door successfully.
CONCLUSION: Subject seems to be able to defy our natural laws and create objects out of thin air. Further testing is warranted. ~Mikhail Carter
TESTING LOG XXXX-4
DATE: 04/20/2019
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in a testing chamber with a recently deceased D-Class, and was instructed to revive him. Subject seemed reluctant, but complied, declaring that the D-Class never died. Immediately following this statement, the D-Class' corpse disappeared and was reported to have reappeared where they originally died, where they were subsequently killed again.
CONCLUSION: Ability to revive the dead may prove useful to the long-term well-being of Foundation Personnel, particularly ███. ~Mikhail Carter
TESTING LOG XXXX-5
DATE: 04/21/2019
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in a testing chamber, and instructed to destroy POI-4056] however she desired. The subject sighed and declared that POI-4056 had never existed. Four days later, Facility ██ was contacted by POI-4056.
CONCLUSION: This is the first limit of its power that we have found.
Note: I wonder what's causing this? ~Mikhail Carter
Dr. Carter evaluated SCP-XXXX following Experiment XXXX-5 to ascertain the reason for their failure. The following is an excerpt.
VIDEO LOG
DATE: 4/30/2019
[BEGIN LOG]
[0930] Head Researcher Carter: Hello, Marie. I'd like to start this interview by saying that you are not in any trouble. However, I do need to ensure that we understand why and how you were unable to complete your most recent assignment. In my experience, reality-warpers to the magnitude of your powers do not have such a… small upper limit.
[0931] XXXX: Doctor Carter, with all due respect, I'd rather not be referred to as a reality warper. I'm Marie Jennessen. Rolls off the tongue easier, I think.
[0931] Carter: My apologies… Marie. Could you tell me why you couldn't destroy POI-4056?
[0932] XXXX: I do not know who POI-4056 is, Doctor. As far as I know, my… abilities only apply to people and things I see or know about. This POI-whatever, to me, is simply a designation. I have no idea what they are. It could be a person, a group, or for all I know, a fucking mailbox.
[0933] Carter: So you aren't able to destroy anything you are unaware of.
[0933] XXXX: That man you made me bring back? I knew he was a person. I knew he was dead. I was able to comprehend those facts, just as I used to know that the sky is blue, since I was able to see it, once.
[0933] Carter: I see… fascinating. So, basically, you can mold anything to your image, even create objects out of thin air, as long as you have a basic understanding of it?
[0933] XXXX: Solid rehashing. Are we doing some fucking meta-commentary or something?
[0934] Carter: …No further questions. Thank you, Marie. You've been a very big help.
[END LOG]
Following Dr. Carter's evaluation of SCP-XXXX's performance, the SCP's Special Containment Procedures were updated to allow access to certain amounts of carefully curated books, television shows, and other forms of information and entertainment.
TESTING LOG XXXX-06
DATE: 05/10/2019
Note: Subject was provided with literature specifically designed to portray the worst assets of POI-4056 prior to testing.
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in the testing chamber, and instructed again to destroy POI-4056. The subject refused outright, claiming they did not want to hurt anyone. As a precaution, SCP-XXXX's demands were listened to, and they were escorted back to containment.
CONCLUSION: We must take extreme care not to upset XXXX. She appears to have very high moral standards, and unless we want to be harmed, we must make sure she doesn't see us as a big enough threat to escape, or worse. ~M. Carter
TESTING LOG XXXX-07
DATE: 05/11/2019
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in a testing chamber, and instructed to state that she was loyal to the Foundation's cause. XXXX did as instructed. After several hours of observation with no obvious behavioral changes, SCP-XXXX was escorted back to containment.
CONCLUSION: Unclear.
Note: I asked SCP-XXXX whether they felt different. Per SCP-XXXX, "You can't change something into itself, doctor." ~ M. Carter
TESTING LOG XXXX-08
DATE: 05/12/2019
DESCRIPTION: Subject was placed in a testing chamber, and instructed to state that they did not have powers. They complied, and then was instructed to walk through the wall. Again, they complied, and successfully phased through the wall.
CONCLUSION: It seems impossible to neutralize XXXX's powers of XXXX's own accord. Why this is, however, should be further researched.

Subject: SCP-XXXX Testing Authorization
Doctor Carter,
As you are no doubt aware, SCP-XXXX's abilities pose a sizable security risk to the Foundation, and humanity as a whole if provoked.
In brief, I would like to request immediate authorization to release SCP-XXXX, to re-integrate her into society, and prevent her from further anger towards the Foundation. She would be monitored closely by Gamma-12, of course, but I believe she will leave well enough alone as a private citizen.
Regards,
Thomas Mayorkas
Foundation Field Agent

Subject: RE: SCP-XXXX Testing Authorization
Agent Mayorkas,
Your request has been denied, both by my own volition and Site Command's, for so many reasons. Put simply, this is one of the most inane proposals I have ever reviewed.
For starters, XXXX poses far too much of a security risk to take such a chance. The safest option for the moment is to keep it in containment. Additionally, our job is to "secure, contain, and protect", not "empathize with dangerous anomalies, release them, and do nothing while they wreak havoc".
Please consider your proposals more thoroughly before lowering your credibility, Agent.
Now, please report to the nearest on-site psychologist for evaluation. I'll let them know to expect you.
Regards,
Mikhail Carter

Following Agent Mayorkas' request, a formal investigation was launched into his behavior, and possible anomalous influence. Attached are relevant logs.
ETHICS COMMITTEE - INTERVIEW XXXX-01
INQUIRY INTO BEHAVIOR OF THOMAS ALAN MAYORKAS
Interviewer: Joanna Hart, Ethics Committee Representative
Interviewee: Thomas Mayorkas, Foundation Field Agent
[BEGIN AUDIO LOG]
JOANNA HART: Before we begin, Agent, I need to let you know that I will be recording this interview.
THOMAS MAYORKAS: I would prefer you don't.
HART: Agent Mayorkas, me notifying you was simply a formality. The recorder stays on.
[MAYORKAS hesitates.]
MAYORKAS: Fine. Let's get this over with.
HART: Thank you. Now, first off. What are your thoughts regarding SCP-XXXX?
MAYORKAS: I mean… she's alright, I guess. One of the few people in here that I don't think deserves to be locked up.
[A pen can be heard scribbling onto a paper.]
HART: Why do you think she should be freed?
MAYORKAS: You guys went through my stuff, right? Read the email for yourself. She poses no danger to anyone, whatsoever. She's a person, just like you and me. It's unethical to keep her here.
HART: I see. Agent, I am honestly a little surprised that someone of your status would say something like that. You don't make it to your position without… compromising your integrity once or twice.
MAYORKAS: Rich, coming from you. Ethics committee is a complete misnomer. You guys are the ones that authorized Procedure 110-Montauk, right?
HART: Yes, but there is a line between unethical and necessary, Thomas-
MAYORKAS: Tom.
HART: There is a line, Tom, between what is unethical and what is necessary. Procedure 110-Montauk was. and still is, necessary. Using your clearance to attempt to release a highly unstable anomaly is not.
[MAYORKAS sighs. The tape is silent for approximately fifteen seconds, before he begins to speak. As he does, his voice is audibly strained.]
MAYORKAS: She is not unstable. She is a human being who deserves respect. It is not… what did you say?… necessary to keep her contained.
HART: That's actually a good segue into my next question for you. In the initial interview you held with XXXX, they whispered something to you. What was that?
MAYORKAS: Private, is what it was.
HART: Agent, if you do not cooperate with me fully, there will be swift punishment.
MAYORKAS: Ah, fine. The "ethics" department sure is a misnomer, you know.
[Agent Mayorkas clears his throat.]
MAYORKAS: She told me to make sure she's safe.
[More scribbling is heard.]]
HART: Through releasing her?
MAYORKAS: No, no… I stand by my reasoning, Joanna. Releasing her has nothing to do with what she whispered to me.
HART: To be honest, Thomas… Tom… I'm having a hard time believing that.
MAYORKAS: Of course you would. Too bad for you, because I plead the fifth!
HART: I think I'm done here anyways. You'll be hearing from me soon, Agent. Until then, you are not to go near SCP-XXXX. Is that clear?
MAYORKAS: Crystal.
[END AUDIO LOG]
Following Ethics Interview XXXX-01, Agent Mayorkas' clearance has been temporarily revoked until
further notice, and under no circumstances is he to make contact with SCP-XXXX.

DATE: 6/01/2019
INTERVIEWER: Head Researcher Mikhail Carter
INTERVIEWEE: SCP-XXXX
[BEGIN VIDEO RECORDING]
Doctor Carter sits at one end of an interview table, and SCP-XXXX sits at the other. Carter shuffles some papers around and looks up at SCP-XXXX.
CARTER: So I believe you had something to-
Carter is cut off by SCP-XXXX, who angrily interrupts.
XXXX: SHUT THE FUCK UP. What did you do to Tom?
CARTER: Excuse me?
XXXX: Tom. What… did… you… do… with… him?
CARTER: He's been reassigned. Further than that, I am not authorized to tell you.
XXXX: You're going to assign him back to me. NOW. Understood?
CARTER: I'm not doing shit for you. Now, if you had nothing else, I'll be on my way.
Carter stands to leave, at which XXXX looks visibly disturbed.
XXXX: Wait! I'm… sorry.
Carter stops and looks at her. After a moment, he sits back down.
CARTER: If you're willing to cooperate, I'm willing to listen. I cannot bring him back, but I could pass on a message for you, if you like.
XXXX: Uhm… sure. Just tell him… I miss him. Yeah, just that.
CARTER: I'll tell him.
XXXX: Thanks, doctor.
CARTER: Please. Call me Mikhail.
