Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be housed in a Foundation object remote storage facility under direct monitor. Testing on SCP-XXXX is not currently authorized, following a series of tests. During weekly inspection, care will be taken to ensure that the thaumaturgic markings on the bottom of SCP-XXXX remain unaltered.
Furthermore, instances of SCP-XXXX-A though SCP-XXXX-N shall be housed in a standard humanoid containment cell and are subject to routine testing as well as given access to basic needs. All requests to see SCP-XXXX by the related sub-classes are to be denied. Exposure to SCP-XXXX-A-N instances will result in immediate containment as well as additional genetic testing for the presence of zoological genetic material. Following a period of two weeks, any changes in exterior morphology shall be noted when evaluating the need for permanent containment. A full-body exam will be given to test for the presence of skin markings, scales, feathers, ridges, or other structures not found in baseline humans. If these are present, the exposed personnel are to be redesignated as SCP-XXXX-O and so on following the alpha-numeric classification.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an icon of a humanoid figure, an Upper Paleolithic artifact, most likely of the Eastern Gravettian culture. The effects of SCP-XXXX on humans have altered themselves since its initial containment- when it was first retrieved, and for the next four decades following said retrieval, SCP-XXXX appeared to grant those who came into skin contact with it a series of physical and mental abilities, largely connected in that, when used in tandem, allowed their user to deceive or misdirect any and all entities, sapient or otherwise.
These abilities would function even on objects and entities which otherwise proved resistant or nearly immune to deception, including but not limited to seasoned investigators, polygraph tests, telepaths or otherwise psychically-inclined individuals, SCP-███, a Mechanist Shattered Oracle, [REDACTED], and entities classified as equivalent to minor-to-major deities. This unique function of SCP-XXXX, after extended testing which proved it lacked any adverse effects on its users, and with consideration to its history (see below), allowed its classification as Thaumiel. Over the following decades, SCP-XXXX was used by a select number of Foundation operatives in order to subvert or otherwise bypass
