Item #: SCP-3786

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: While SCP-3786 is not a threat, security and active surveillance is maintained in the area. Site-114 Primary is erected over the excavated entrance to SCP-3786 to control any personnel entering and exiting the derelict craft. Weekly radiation screening and testing of site personnel has revealed little evidence of an existing threat, it has been continued at the request of site director Dr. Hamman. 24/7 patrols should be maintained to enforce the 12 kilometer exclusion zone around Site-114 Primary. Site personnel should relay to any trespassers and curious locals that Site-114 Primary, is a World Health Organization facility conducting research into and storing highly hazardous materials and pathogens. Construction efforts within 14 kilometers of the site by locals or contractors should be monitored to ensure excavations should not be within excess of 100 meters.

Description: SCP-3786 is located 14 kilometers south-east of the town of Ighoud, Youssoufia Province Morocco. SCP-3786 is a derelict craft estimated to be in excess of 2.7 kilometers in length with a width of 700 meters and depth of 500 meters. The derelict craft was discovered during an anthropological expedition following the establishment of the Jebel Irhoud archaeological site in 1960. SCP-3786 can be segmented into two distinct structures; SCP-3786A and SCP-3786B. The newest and most well understood being the superstructure encasing the older segment which is SCP-3786A. The older being SCP-3786B. SCP-3786A is 155,169 years old as of 2019. Construction ended in the 31st century B.C. SCP-3786A is composed mostly of granite and sandstone with corroded iron and bronze plating covering some of the walls. It is not known if all the walls were covered in metal plating. SCP-3786As walls are covered in carvings and inscriptions in a language unknown to be used by any civilization. It shares characteristics found in Ancient Sumerian, Egyptian, Ancient Chinese and Linear A. SCP-3786 is believed to have once been temple like structure inhabited by ancient humans. The structure features comparatively advanced technologies with the believed technological capabilities of early humans. Sophisticated gear driven devices can be found throughout the facility and range from automatic doors, rudimentary airlocks, and analog computers. The most advanced construct is a crude fission reactor that generates 3,500 megawatts worth of power. How its fuel was refined and processed is still currently unknown. The recent discovery of raw uranium ore found in the bowls of the facility suggests that the inhabitants had a understanding of uranium enrichment. Most of the power generated was sent deep into the structure to where it was fed into SCP-3786 (See Addendum #1 for early expeditions into SCP-3786).
SCP-3786B is a 500 meter long cylindrical craft composed of a titanium alloy and unknown ceramic and was previously inaccessible until site staff were able to repair and start the ancient reactor inside SCP-3786A. SCP-3786B is significantly more advanced then the structure it is encased in and surpasses the Foundation in technological sophistication. Analysis of the craft and its systems suggest that the craft was once operated by a humanoid crew. This is further supported by the discovery the remains of a 260 centimeter tall humanoid (see Addendum #2)

Compared too anatomical modern humans there is a undeniable relation. The remains feature: 40% larger orbits (eye sockets), stronger and more developed outermost toe, and larger cranium. The skeletal remains tests have concluded that the death of the being correlates with the eventually abandonment of the facility. The remains

Addendum 2:
Compared too anatomical modern humans there is a undeniable relation. The remains feature: 40% larger orbits (eye sockets), stronger and more developed outermost toe, and larger cranium. The skeletal remains tests have concluded that the death of the being correlates with the eventually abandonment of the facility. The remains adorns what seems to be a crown or helmet like article. An assortment of jewels and offerings surround the remains. All offerings range for cultures originating from the time.
Found clutched in the hands of the remains was a platinum plated titanium disc with a radius of 6 cm. The disc is inscribed with a message followed by detailed diagrams and instructions on how to read the disc. The message is written 50 micrometers in size. After site constructed the device layed out, it was promptly translated by site linguists. The first lines of the message is as follows.

"Warmest affections my dearest kin. Oceans of time has passed since the conflict. We remain. You have impressed me with you ability to adapt. Over come you have many challenges and completed many tasks. This home around me you have built is a testimony. When the others wished to terminate you I had faith. They feared that you were better. They were right to fear. We lost our title as rulers of this planet when we uplifted you. My kind grew despondent in their being. We lost the fire your kind possess. When the reckoning was fired I took shelter down hear with you. Protected you from its wrath. Our planet is now yours. You've made me proud, kin."

The message suggests that humankind was once uplifted by an ancient race of hominids. The being supposedly sheltered the uplifted humans from what it describes as the reckoning. Further reading details its civilization as decaying, suffering from inability and strife. Being related it hoped that one day humanity would evolve as a species to claim the planet as its own.
