Description: SCP-XXXX is tattered stone tablet of about 15 by 15 centimeters, with carbon dating showing it to be from the early 800's (CE). The tablet is decorated in various crude drawings of humans with mismatched facial features, painted in cyan. SCP-XXXX has a slight memetic effect, in which upon viewing, subjects will express a desire to either look closer or touch the object.
Once exposed to the memetic effects of SCP-XXXX, subjects will express sensations of extreme pleasure, and will often urge others to view it as well. Several weeks following exposure, SCP-XXXX will no longer be prominent within the subject's consciousness, and will begin to pay more attention to their appearance. A month after the initial exposure to, subjects will develop extreme antisocial tendancies, claiming that they do not wish to be seen and violently attacking those who attempt to interact with them.

Within a week of development, the subject will attempt to self-mutilate, removing their ears, eyes, nose, and lips through any means possible. Subjects (designated as SCP-XXX-1 instances at this point) will continue to self mutilate, despite indications of intense pain. After the removal of the previously mentioned body parts, SCP-XXXX-1 will affix the organs into different spots by means of suture, glue, or by stuffing the organs into different facial orifices, most often with the ears and eyes switching places. SCP-XXXX-1 instances will often be perfectly capable of hearing and seeing will, though they do not eat or breathe. Approximately 40% of SCP-XXXX-1 instances will expire from blood loss during or shortly afterthey begin to mutilate themselves.

After the instance of SCP-XXXX-1 finishes this process, it will acquire the same memetic effects as SCP-XXXX, making this an infectious memetic hazard that should be treated with extreme caution.
