Item #: SCP-X
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X is as of yet unable to be contained due to inevitable containment breach. A total of 11 attempts have been made to contain SCP-X, although none have yet proved successful. Approximately every 24 hours, exactly at sunset, SCP-X will breach containment. There is no way to stop SCP-X once it starts moving.
Description: SCP-X is a large humanoid creature, standing at slightly over 190 centimeters tall, and weighing in at 233 pounds, or 106 kilograms. SCP-X stands in a hunched over position, it has large shoulders and long limbs. It’s body is dark grey, except for its lower arms and legs. It’s arms and legs are that of an ordinary human. SCP-X’s lower arms resemble that of a woman in her 20’s, the nails are clean-cut, and the skin is soft. SCP-X’s hands has been observed at a constant temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius, with no action or activity increasing or decreasing the temperature. SCP-X’s lower legs resemble that of a man in his 30’s. SCP-X’s head is very round and there are no facial features, apart from a set of glowing eyes, which only seem to appear when every surrounding light source is turned off. SCP-X’s origins are still unknown, although it does seem to appear in ancient Egyptian drawings dating from about 3300 years ago. SCP-X is shown to possess enormous amounts of strength, breaching through a 10 centimeter thick steel blast door in under 20 seconds.
SCP-X is in a dormant state during the day, for approximately 10 to 14 hours at a time. When sunset takes place, SCP-X will awaken and start moving at a speed of 0.3 kilometers an hour. It will always move in a general direction of it’s target, now referred to as SCP-X-1, gradually increasing in speed, until SCP-X-1 has been killed. Who SCP-X-1 is, is determined by their distance to the last murder SCP-X has committed. The person closest to SCP-X’s last murder, will be murdered the next night, without fail. SCP-X will target humans only, this excludes all humanoid SCPs, henceforth, SCP-X is not to be used in the termination of other SCPs.
SCP-X has the ability to seemingly control light. It utilises this ability in the murder of SCP-X-1. SCP-X will move towards SCP-X-1 with increasing speed. This speed starts at 0.3 kilometers an hour, and the highest recorded speed SCP-X has been seen travelling at was just under [REDACTED] kilometers an hour. Once SCP-X is within 25 meters of SCP-X-1 it will stop moving and turn off any nearby lightsource. It’s eyes will then light up as it slowly moves towards SCP-X-1. SCP-X-1 is generally frozen with fear. SCP-X will stop moving when it’s within a meter of SCP-X-1. SCP-X will then extend it’s arms, and concentrate light on it’s forearms, making it seem like they are floating in midair. SCP-X will gently caress SCP-X-1 face, arms and chest. After approximately 30 seconds SCP-X will start tugging and pulling on SCP-X-1 with increasing force. This will continue until SCP-X-1 disintegrates due to large pulling forces applied by SCP-X. The attack can last anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes and is extremely painful. SCP-X prefers to kill SCP-X-1 indoors, it has been seen waiting for hours until SCP-X-1 enters [REDACTED].
SCP-X can be approached safely at all times, so long as the person approaching SCP-X is not it’s target. SCP-X will completely ignore anyone except for SCP-X-1. SCP-X appears to be immune to any kind of physical damage. SCP-X is not capable of speech and does not seems to understand it either.
Experiment X-A: SCP-X-1’s location was determined and D-19174 was placed next to SCP-X-1. After SCP-X arrival SCP-X-1 was killed and D-19174 became SCP-X-1. D-19174 was then flown to the geographical other side of the planet and was kept there until SCP-X left it’s dormant state. After about [REDACTED] hours SCP-X reached D-19174 and proceeded to kill D-19174.
Experiment X-B: SCP-X-1’s location was determined and D-23878 was placed next to SCP-X-1. After SCP-X arrival SCP-X-1 was killed and D-23878 became SCP-X-1. D-23878 was then flown to the geographical other side of the planet and was kept there until SCP-X left it’s dormant state. D-23878 was then put on a plane which was ordered to remain in the air until sunrise. Due to the plane’s velocity moving away from SCP-X, SCP-X velocity increased dramatically. SCP-X’s highest recorded speed was recorded in this experiment, clocking in at just under [REDACTED] kilometers an hour. Predictions show that with current technology it is impossible to escape from SCP-X.
