SCP-XXXX-A, with SCP-XXXX-B in the background. SCP-XXXX-C is out of sight.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be redacted from all maps, physical and digital. Any civilians attempting to access SCP-XXXX are to be questioned, administered Class-A amnestics and returned to point of departure. Civilians who view SCP-XXXX-1 are to be recruited as D-class personnel or terminated.
SCP-XXXX-1 is to be fitted with a portable Scranton Reality Stabilizer around the right foreleg to prevent entropic equalization of SCP-XXXX-1s Hume level. SCP-XXXX-2 is to be monitored at all times, and activity archived.
Due to SCP-XXXX-1's compliance and loyalty to the Foundation, there is no need for Special Containment Procedures to contain the subject. Instead, the following directives are enacted to prevent SCP-XXXX-1 from inadvertently causing an SK-Class Dominance Shift scenario and/or XK-Class end-of-the-world scenario. Said scenarios are possible due to SCP-XXXX-1's regenerative and hyper-adaptive capabilities, as well as the Foundation's inability to close new instances of SCP-XXXX-2.
No mind-controlling anomalies triggered by visual perception are to come within 100 kilometers of SCP-XXXX-A, -B, -C, as well as -1 when present elsewhere. SCP-XXXX-1 is only permitted to leave SCP-XXXX when needed for a Priority Alpha recontainment mission. If SCP-XXXX-1 comes under the control of any entity other than the Foundation, SCP-XXXX-1 is to be reclassified as Apollyon and the situation is to be regarded as a containment breach and possible SK/XK-Class scenario, and MTF-Epsilon-7 (Knights in Shining Armor) is to carry out Procedure-XXXX-79-K.
Should SCP-XXXX-1 fail to terminate an SCP-XXXX-2 specimen within twenty (20) hours of emergence, use of nuclear bombardment is to be authorized to destroy said specimen.
Cross-testing between SCP-XXXX-1 and other SCPs must be approved by two (2) level three (3) JRC operatives. Using SCP-XXXX-1 as a termination method for highly dangerous SCPs resilient to conventional methods of termination must have approval of 05-Command, and simulated with a Focus Reality Equinox Emulator1 (FREE) with have a 98.7 percent chance of success.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an archipelago of three landmasses located in the Bermuda Triangle, formerly known as the Jericho Islands. These islands (designated SCP-XXXX-A, -B and -C) were given their SCP status when a meteor impact affected SCP-XXXX-A on ██/██/1897. Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 were traced back to the Jericho Islands and the meteor, which was found to be SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a four-winged quadruped approximately one hundred and fifty-seven (157) meters long, with features resembling a dragon of unique anatomy. Subject's upper set of wings are extremely muscular and has a span of three hundred and fifteen (315) meters when fully extended. SCP-XXXX-1s lower wing-set is smaller, with a span of two hundred and forty-five (245) meters. The lower wings are unique in that they bear dexterous claws which can act like hands. These are located on the outer tip of the wing and have function consistent with a pseudo-wyvern.2The claws on SCP-XXXX-1s lower wing-set are remarkably long and thin, and usually rest on the shoulders of the subject's foreleg. When in combat, SCP-XXXX-1 uses these claws as a tactical advantage, utilizing their gripping ability to throw opponents off-balance, force to the ground, hold at a distance, or even mutilate.
SCP-XXXX-1 has two tails which are each bladed on the tip with a large version of SCP-XXXX-3. These tails are also abundant in regular SCP-XXXX-3 instances.
On SCP-XXXX-1's wing-ridges, fore and back legs, spine, and tails, numerous abnormal scales (SCP-XXXX-3) are present among the layer of epidermal scales. SCP-XXXX-3 scales are composed of an unknown element. SCP-XXXX-1 claims the scales are made of "Puresteel", which the subject uses as a siphon to [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX-3 instances are silver in color and red near the tip, though during Test XXXX-F, a color change occured causing them to become black. SCP-XXXX-1 frequently shed scales, and scales have since reverted to their original color.
SCP-XXXX-1 can adjust the angle of SCP-XXXX-3 from being flat against its body to 45° upright as well as shift to different locations across the subjects body at a speed of three (3) m/s. The versatility of SCP-XXXX-3 allows SCP-XXXX-1 adaptive streamlining capabilities. The subject also can propel SCP-XXXX-3 as deadly projectiles, at a speed of up to three hundred and fifty (350) Km/H.
SCP-XXXX-1s head is aerodynamic, possessing sharp and defined edges. There is also a presence of two atypical versions of SCP-XXXX-3, one group on the chin and the other on the temples. The scales on the subjects chin are elongated and malleable to some extent, and unable to shift posistions like its regular counterparts. The scales on SCP-XXXX-1s temples are wider and taller, resembling horns and there are only two on each temple and are also unable shift.
Scans of SCP-XXXX-1 have shown the presence of an unknown organ attached to the creature's heart. The organ holds a liquid that was unknown at the time. SCP-XXXX-1 underwent multiple attempts at retrieving a sample, though all failed due to the strength of SCP-XXXX-1s epidermal scales. Although, SCP-294 was able to retrieve trace amounts in the creature's blood by typing in “blood of SCP-XXXX-1”. Subsequent testing with D-class uncovered its ability to speed up cellular regeneration, enhance strength and speed, extend life, and [DATA EXPUNGED] when mixed with adrenaline. After naming this substance SCP-XXXX-4, SCP-294 was able to collect pure samples. Dr. Aevo is currently taking monthly supplements of SCP-XXXX-4 to extend his life, although due to the side effects he is the only one willing to do so.
SCP-XXXX-1 can evolve incredibly fast to overcome any threat or carry out almost any task. For a test log of SCP-XXXX-1's adaptive capabilities, see Addendum XXXX-4
SCP-XXXX-1 is also incredibly agressive and violent, often displaying signs of pleasure when taking part in homicidal activites, mainly when fending off instances of SCP-XXXX-2 specimens.
SCP-XXXX-2 is a temporal wormhole on SCP-XXXX-A, and is impossible to close or keep open. SCP-XXXX-2 will activate at seemingly random intervals, depositing an anomalous specimen. So far, there have been a total of 7 different specimens of SCP-XXXX-2, titled SCP-XXXX-2-1 through -7. For a list of recorded SCP-XXXX-2 specimens, see Addendum XXXX-2. If specimens from SCP-XXXX-2 are alive in our reality for longer than 24 hours, a second instance of SCP-XXXX-2 will manifest upon the death of the specimen. Unlike the original wormhole, it can be closed through sustained exposure to an Overcharged Scranton Reality Anchor (OSRA). After the only OSRA prototype was destroyed during a containment breach, there is now no means of closing new instances of SCP-XXXX-2.
Note from Dr. ███ ████
We are extremely lucky Aevo could convince XXXX-1 to kill those creatures before they could make more portals. The OSRA broke during a containment breach a week after, and if XXXX-1 was still playing hunter-hunted with the portal creatures? That's a guaranteed K-Class scenario. I move to have Dr. Aevo promoted to site director.
Addendum XXXX-1: Discovery and History
On ██/██/1897, Mobile Research Force Gamma (MRFG) mobilized to investigate SCP-XXXX shortly after reconnaissance squad “Argus” went dark. Dr. Aevo, who was appointed as the head of the MRFG at the time, discovered a wrecked vessel covered with instances SCP-XXXX-3. The ship was later identified to be the one recon squad "Argus" arrived on. MRFG explored the archipelago and gathered as much intel on SCP-XXXX as possible. After approximately 7 hours of exploration, Dr. Aevo gave the order to return to their watercraft. Upon arrival, MRFG discovered SCP-XXXX-1 examining their ship, which was now covered with SCP-XXXX-3 as well. SCP-XXXX-1 was reported to flee on sight. The Foundation attempted multiple times to capture and contain SCP-XXXX-1, though due to it's sheer power, the Foundation was unable to contain it and SCP-XXXX-1 was documented as a Keter class SCP.
MRFG studied SCP-XXXX-1 extensively, while simultaneously directing instances of SCP-XXXX-2 away from colonized areas of America. Approximately one year after SCP-XXXX was discovered, SCP-XXXX-1 responded to an interview request for the first time. Interview-XXXX-1 can be found in Addendum-XXXX-1-G. SCP-XXXX-1 responses to interview requests became more frequent until SCP-XXXX-1 began explicitly requesting to speak with Dr. Aevo.
With the approval of 05-Command, Dr. Aevo was given permission to set up a more permanent research facility on the main Island. MFRG splintered off the Foundation, and on ██/██/1931, became the Jericho Research Commission (JRC).
Addendum XXXX-2:
The following is the first interview with SCP-XXXX-1.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-1
Interviewer: Dr. Aevo
Foreword: SCP-XXXX-1 has replied to an interview request on ██/██/██. SCP-XXXX-1 was instructed to wait on the field in front of the Main Research building. Dr. Aevo's main directive to establish friendly relations with SCP-XXXX-1.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Aevo: Hello there SCP-XXXX-1, we thank you for accepting our request to speak with you. I'm here to ask you-
SCP-XXXX-1: SCP? XXXX-1? What is this?
Dr. Aevo: XXXX-1 is your designation as an anomalous entity. As for SCP, that's not why we're here. Now, as I was saying, I'm here to ask you a series of questions. This interview is being recorded, so try your best to speak as clearly as possible.
SCP-XXXX-1: I have many questions, but I see that is not in my position right now. But would you do me a favor and tell me what you mean by recorded?
Dr. Aevo: (Dr. Aevo pulls out a separate recorder and and displays its function to SCP-XXXX-1.) I press this button, and speak, and press it again. I can play back whatever sound is heard between the times I click it.
SCP-XXXX-1: Interesting.
Dr. Aevo: Yes. Currently, our group is the only in the world with this technology, but I digress. First question: how do you know our language?
SCP-XXXX-1: Pieced it together pretty easily. I mean not to offend you, but it's pretty simplistic.
Dr. Aevo: 12 years of school say otherwise.
SCP-XXXX-1: I don't understand.
Dr. Aevo: (Clears throat) Next question: Why have you evaded us for twenty years?
SCP-XXXX-1: I was afraid. I thought you people would try to kill me, that's what humans usually do when they see me.
Dr. Aevo: You needn't worry about being killed by us, although I doubt we could even if we wanted to. Now, speaking of killing, why did you kill our recon squad?
SCP-XXXX-1: You mean those people that came here on that old boat a while back? I didn't kill them. The creatures from that- that portal I guess. Those creatures did. Your- what did you call them, ah, recon squad, whatever that means, was being [REDACTED] by those things when I found them. I tried to save them, but they were too far gone.
Dr. Aevo: I see. Next question: Why are you here?
SCP-XXXX-1: (SCP-XXXX-1 becomes visibly stressed) I don't know. I thought I never left, but where I'm from, people usually flee from me instead of trying to research me.
Dr. Aevo: (Dr. Aevo sighs) Fear lies in the unknown and in order for us to do our job we must be fearless. So we seek to know the unknown. Now, tell me as much as you can about the portal. Especially those creatures.
SCP-XXXX-1: (SCP-XXXX-1 relaxes) Yea. Yea, I can do that. That portal, from what I can tell, is a dent. In reality. Somehow those creatures are slipping through. Funny thing is, I know them. Dangerous to others, tasty to me. Where I'm from, they're known as (incomprehensible). The creator never meant for them to become (incomprehensible), wanted them to be peaceful, but well, Leviathan didn't care what Taloroth meant. If they weren't corrupt, I wouldn't bother them. As much.
Dr. Aevo: Taloroth? Leviathan? I don't understand. Please explain.
SCP-XXXX-1: You mean you don't know Taloroth. The Creator?
Dr. Aevo: Correct. We need to know if this "Taloroth" presents a threat to our reality.
SCP-XXXX-1: (SCP-XXXX-1 becomes visibly agitated, ruffling its scales) Does the name "CREATOR" sound threatening to you? I didn't think so. And your reality? I thought this- never mind.
Dr. Aevo: (Dr. Aevo holds his ground. During debriefing he stated SCP-XXXX-1 was attempting a display of intimidation, and showing any weakness would be a terrible idea.) The nicest person in the world would be a threat to a trail of ants if he wasn't looking where he was going.
SCP-XXXX-1: I suppose that makes sense.
Dr. Aevo: Yes… Now last question for today: What do you intend to do here?
SCP-XXXX-1: Well, given that I never intended to be here, I intend on returning.
Dr. Aevo: To where?
SCP-XXXX-1: I don't think I should tell you. Your minds may break, I've seen it happen before. (SCP-XXXX-1 shudders) Nope. Not telling.
Dr. Aevo: That's quite alright. Now, would you be willing to make a deal with us?
SCP-XXXX-1: It depends.
Dr. Aevo: You have in-depth knowledge of those creatures, right?
SCP-XXXX-1: Yes.
Dr. Aevo: Well, we don't have that knowledge. So I propose you hold them off. Never let a single one leave these islands.
SCP-XXXX-1: It's more fun to let 'em get a head start and then hunt them down. What do you have in return?
Dr. Aevo: What if you aren't able to kill them before you are seen?
SCP-XXXX-1: What is so bad about that? I mean, I can kill the creatures before they kill any of your species, but don't they deserve to know?
Dr. Aevo: No. We are the ones that carry the burden of knowledge. We secure what violates the what people percieve as normal, we contain said violations to study and learn how they work. And most of all, we protect the anomalous threats and shield them from the eyes of the public.
SCP-XXXX-1: I am not normal?
Dr. Aevo: Not here you aren't. Also, I have to ask: How do you perceive the world around you right now? How does it compare to your world?
SCP-XXXX-1: I don't see how that has anything to do with the deal, but I'll go with it. (SCP-XXXX-1 takes several moments to take in the surroundings) This world is exceptionally dull. Sounds are muffled, colors are not as sharp as my world. I can barely feel my claws in the dirt. But I find it quite easy to, what your language calls it, day-dream.
Dr. Aevo: It's just as I predicted. The world you're from has an extremely high Hume level, or it's very, very, real. Are world has a much lower Hume level, so being exposed to it must be quite a shock. And, I've noticed, my senses grow sharper the closer I am to you. That means you brought some of that realness here with you.SCP-XXXX-1: While that is intriguing, this information cannot help me.
Dr. Aevo: Yes, but I can. (Dr. Aevo pulls a portable Scranton Reality Stabilizer out of his lab-coat, and sets it on the the ground in front of SCP-XXXX-1.)
SCP-XXXX-1: What is that?
Dr. Aevo: This will stabilize your Hume field. To you, our world will feel as real as yours. In addition, I will no longer be affected by your residual Hume level, which is good. Hume addiction is difficult to cure. Anyways, let's try it out. (Dr. Aevo activates the stabilizer.) There. It will be some time before it takes effect. Now back to the deal. We'll let you keep this stabilizer, and in return, you hold off the portal-creatures. Deal?
SCP-XXXX-1: (SCP-XXXX-1 appears to think over the deal) Deal. And you'll help me return to my world. Deal?
Dr. Aevo: Deal.
<End Log>
Addendum XXXX-3
The following is a record of SCP-XXXX-1s first interactions with SCP-XXXX-2 specimens, as well as all known SCP-XXXX-2 specimens and additional notes where needed. Currently, there are five live -2 specimens in containment.
| SCP-XXXX-2-1 | |
| First Encounter | SCP-XXXX-2 activated at approximately 10:00 AM EST. The wormhole is active for three (3) seconds before ejecting an instance of SCP-XXXX-2-1. Specimen attempted flight and succeeded in covering a distance of two hundred (200) meters before being driven to the ground by SCP-XXXX-1 in what appeared to be an ambush. After falling approximately 75 meters and landing on a boulder, SCP-XXXX-1 immediately bit down on the neck of SCP-XXXX-2-1, and twisted, killing it instantly, after which SCP-XXXX-1 [DATA EXPUNGED]. |
| Description | A recovered specimen of SCP-XXXX-2-1 is dragon-like in form, with an extra set of wings similar to those of SCP-XXXX-1, although without the wing claws. SCP-XXXX-2-1s scales are naturally grey in color, although living instances camouflage with whatever color the sky is.The specimen is gilled at the chest, which testing has shown to be directly connected to "vents" along the back and tail. It is hypothesized SCP-XXXX-2-1 uses this adaptation to reduce all wind resistance during flight, and even utilize the filtered air as propulsion as the lungs push and pull on interior apparatuses. |
| Notes | None |
| SCP-XXXX-2-2 | |
| First Encounter | SCP-XXXX-2 activated at approximately 1:00 AM EST, and remained open for over an hour. During this time, SCP-XXXX-1 sat in front of the wormhole, seemingly waiting. At 2:27 AM EST, the wormhole closed, causing SCP-XXXX-1 to become confused, before an octopus-like creature materialized decamouflaged behind it. The specimen, now documented as SCP-XXXX-2-2, attempted to strangle SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 simply cut through the antennae on SCP-XXXX-2-2s forehead with with instances of SCP-XXXX-3 located on it's wing-ridges. SCP-XXXX-2-2 recoiled in pain, and began stumbling around confused, before SCP-XXXX-1 snapped it's neck with one of it's tails. SCP-XXXX-1 proceeded to [DATA EXPUNGED]. Afterwards, SCP-XXXX-1 remarked something along the lines of "Damn Katha" before resuming regular activities. |
| Description | SCP-XXXX-2-2 is similar to a forty (40) meter long centipede, with tentacles instead of legs. It is capable of camouflage, which it attempted to use to gain the upper hand over SCP-XXXX-1 in above encounter. SCP-XXXX-2-2s back is covered in overlapping plates, and recovered samples indicate they give off small amounts of gamma radiation. On SCP-XXXX-2-2s forehead are two antennae which react uniquely to the same radiation the plates on the specimens back. Due to SCP-XXXX-2-2s lack of eyes, it is presumed the specimen uses radiation from it's plates as a form of echolocation. |
| Notes | None |
| SCP-XXXX-2-3 | |
| First Encounter | SCP-XXXX-2 activated at approximately 9:00 PM EST and stayed open for 1.5 seconds before depositing an instance of SCP-XXXX-2-3 and closing. SCP-XXXX-1 was nowhere to be seen. SCP-XXXX-2-3 attempted to reach the shoreline, although as soon as it touched the sand, SCP-XXXX-1 pounced with a speed of approximately six hundred and forty-seven (647) Km/H, killing it instantly. SCP-XXXX-1 then [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCP-XXXX-1's impact force created a sub-island, now designated SCP-XXXX-A-1. SCP-XXXX-1 has been known to dispose the bodies of SCP-XXXX-2 specimens on this sub-island following it's formation. |
| Description | SCP-XXXX-2-3 is an amphibious creature approximately thirty-seven (37) meters long. It has over twenty-five (25) heads, each with extremely sharp teeth which have been tested to cut through solid steel. The body of SCP-XXXX-2-3 is similar to that of an Elasmosaurus. It's flippers are clawed around the edge and are capable of land travel. |
| Notes | None |
| SCP-XXXX-2-4 | |
| First Encounter | SCP-XXXX-2 activated at approximately 3:00 AM EST, and remained open for 30 seconds before depositing SCP-XXXX-2-4. An instance of SCP-XXXX-3 becomes lodged in SCP-XXXX-2-4s neck, which causes acid to leak down the creature's chest. Specimen appears to be in immense pain from SCP-XXXX-3, though the acid has no visible affects. SCP-XXXX-1 is then seen running at a speed of five hundred and ninety-three (593) Km/H at SCP-XXXX-2-4. Specimen attempts to spray acid which is of course, ineffective. SCP-XXXX-1 grabs SCP-XXXX-2-4 around the neck, tips it off balance, and stabs it in the eye sockets with its tails. SCP-XXXX-2-4 dies, and SCP-XXXX-1 once again [DATA EXPUNGED]. |
| Description | SCP-XXXX-2-4 resembles a seventy-two (72) meter tall bear with 6 arms and an extra jaw. The creature's jaws are exceeding long, with multiple serrated scutes along the sides. Said extra jaw houses and organ capable of producing and propelling acid. SCP-XXXX-2-4s fur is extremely sharp, as is the specimens claws and teeth. SCP-XXXX-2-5 has an organ that holds a special liquid that when it comes into contact with an oxygen-rich atmosphere, becomes a highly corrosive acid. This organ is located under SCP-XXXX-2-4s tongue, allowing it to spit it out with precision. |
| Notes | None |
| SCP-XXXX-2-5 | |
| First Encounter | SCP-XXXX-2 activated at approximately 1:00 PM EST and remained open for three (3) minutes. SCP-XXXX-2-5 is ejected from the wormhole, where SCP-XXXX-1 has been waiting. SCP-XXXX-2-5 whips its tail at SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 catches the tail with its wing claws, propels itself up and over SCP-XXXX-2-5, and wraps its own tail around the specimen. SCP-XXXX-2-5 resists strangulation for two (2) minutes before going limp. SCP-XXXX-1 bit down on the neck of SCP-XXXX-2-5 before [DATA EXPUNGED], as per usual. |
| Description | SCP-XXXX-2-5s physical structure is that of a wyrm with an exceedingly long tail. The specimen is metallic red in color, though golden scutes are present along the length of the tail. SCP-XXXX-2-5s wings are clawed, allowing the specimen to crawl rather than slither. |
| Notes | None |
| SCP-XXXX-2-6 | |
| First Encounter | SCP-XXXX-2 activated at approximately 7:00 PM EST. The wormhole remained open for 0.001 seconds. A creature of contradicting form emerged from the wormhole, met by SCP-XXXX-1. The specimen showed no signs of fear consistent with other SCP-XXXX-2 specimens. SCP-XXXX-1 appeared to converse with SCP-XXXX-2-6 before it disappeared. |
| Description | N/A. No consistent form. |
| Notes | SCP-XXXX-1 will not divulge to anyone what it conversed with SCP-XXXX-2-6. Currently, this was the only appearance of -2-6, but getting a live specimen is exceedingly desirable.-Dr. ██████ |
| [COGNITOHAZARD REDACTED] | |
| First Encounter | SCP-XXXX-2 [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX-1 and Mobile Task Force-[REDACTED] was not able to contain [COGNITOHAZARD REDACTED] before it destroyed the city of [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX-1 was able to chase [COGNITOHAZARD REDACTED] to Site-███ in Hiroshima. On-site nuclear warhead was detonated by order of the 05-Council. [REDACTED] was wounded, and SCP-XXXX-1 was unharmed. SCP-XXXX-1 took [COGNITOHAZARD REDACTED] to Site-██ in Nagasaki. An on-site experimental nuclear warhead detonated by order of 05-Council, finally killing [COGNITOHAZARD REDACTED]after 23 hours 37 minutes, and SCP-XXXX-1 was unharmed. XK-Class End-of-The-World-Scenario successfully diverted. Cover stories for the destruction of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and the city of [REDACTED] have been released. |
| Description | [COGNITOHAZARD REDACTED]. |
| Notes | That thing had similar adaptive capabilities, though SCP-XXXX-1 was able to adapt to those as well, though it took much longer. SCP-XXXX-1 has assured us that was the last of its kind. Continued questioning was fruitless. -Dr. Aevo |
Addendum XXXX-4: The following test log concerns SCP-XXXX-1's adaptive capabilities. All tests were taken with SCP-XXXX-1's full consent and willingness. Purpose of testing was to determine SCP-XXXX-1's effectiveness in a combat scenario, and if countermeasures are possible should SCP-XXXX-1 become disloyal to the Foundation.
| Test XXXX-A | |
| Method | Asphyxiation |
| Protocol | A two hundred (200) meter cubed pool has been constructed on SCP-XXXX-C. SCP-XXXX-1 is instructed to enter said pool and remain underwater for as long as possible. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX-1 showed no changes for the first thirty seven minutes of the test, after which gills began forming along the neck and lower jaw. SCP-XXXX-1's tails fuse together to create fins. All adaptations were lost upon exiting the pool. |
| Test XXXX-B | |
| Method | Sustained 50 Caliber Fire |
| Protocol | Thirty (30) standard .50 Caliber machine guns placed in a seventy five (75) meter semi-circle around SCP-XXXX-1. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX-1 displays minimal perception of .50 caliber bullet impacts. After approximately thirty (30) seconds of sustained fire, bullets instantly melt on contact with SCP-XXXX-1's body. Cease fire is declared. |
| Test XXXX-C | |
| Method | Fatigue |
| Protocol | Test XXXX-C-1: SCP-XXXX-1 instructed to complete a full loop around SCP-XXXX as many times as possible. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX-1 maintains flight speed of five hundred (500) Km/H for forty nine (49) hours before any adaptations occur, after which both of SCP-XXXX-1's wing sets fuse together. All instances of SCP-XXXX-3 covering the subject's body shed, and are replaced with smaller versions covering the entirety of SCP-XXXX-1. These new scales are able to adjust their angle up to 180° as well as rotate 360°. SCP-XXXX-1's speed increases to one thousand four hundred and sixty (1460) Km/H. Adaptation diminishes one (1) hour after test completion. |
| Protocol | Test XXXX-C-2: SCP-XXXX-1 instructed to traverse the shoreline of SCP-XXXX without flight as many times as possible. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX-1 maintains a steady running speed of three hundred and twenty (320) Km/H for 46 hours before adaptations occur. Adaptations take place in the form of smaller wings, longer claws, and increased muscle mass. SCP-XXXX-1's speed increases to seven hundred and fifty (750) Km/H. Subject continues running for fifty nine hours before testing is deemed completed. SCP-XXXX-1 exclaims of "how fun that was". Adaptations revert back to original form approximately three (3) hours after testing concludes. |
| Test XXXX-D | |
| Method | Multiple thirty (30) centimeter thick titanium barriers |
| Protocol | Seventy five (75) titanium barriers were placed spaced ten (10) meters apart in a row on SCP-XXXX-B. SCP-XXXX-1 was instructed to break through as many as possible. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX-1 broke through twenty seven (27) barriers at a speed of two hundred and thirty seven (237) Km/h before adaptations occurred. Adaptations include improved spinal structure, shorter neck, and the introduction of ram-like horns on the forehead, which were later identified to be composed of the same material as SCP-XXXX-3. Said adaptations last for two (2) hours after testing completed before reverting back to original form. |
| Test XXXX-E | |
| Method | Five hundred kilograms of C-4 plastic explosives placed directly below SCP-XXXX-1 |
| Protocol | Testing takes place on SCP-XXXX-C. SCP-XXXX-1 is instructed to stand over explosives and allow them to detonate. |
| Results | Explosives detonate. SCP-XXXX-1 is unaffected, but recalls a "warm" feeling. |
| Test XXXX-F | |
| Method | 20 kiloton B-57 Tactical Nuclear Weapon (TNW) placed directly below SCP-XXXX-1 |
| Protocol | SCP-XXXX-1 ordered to relocate to SCP-XXXX-C. SCP-XXXX-C has been evacuated, and blast shielding has been erected to protect SCP-XXXX-B and -A. TNW placed below SCP-XXXX-1. |
| Results |
TNW detonated without incident. SCP-XXXX-1 evolves rapidly to counteract the immense pressure and radiation from the TNW. Adaptations include the integration of a new version of SCP-XXXX-3, which is black in color, and now designated SCP-XXXX-3-A. Instances of SCP-XXXX-3-A shed off SCP-XXXX-1 three (3) hours after testing, and maintain adaptations. Subsequent testing on SCP-XXXX-3-A indicates they are able to absorb and redirect energy with no loss in power. When stored with energy, "veins" within SCP-XXXX-3-A are illuminated. SCP-XXXX-3-A adheres to any living thing and behaves as if it were biologically connected to the host. SCP-XXXX-3-A will transfer energy to its host, who can control SCP-XXXX-3-A. SCP-XXXX-3-A will only attach to one host, and will not transfer benefits to another living being. Collected instances of SCP-XXXX-3-A have been moved to Site-██ for further research. |
| Test XXXX-G | |
| Method | Speed test |
| Protocol | SCP-XXXX-1 is given special permission by the 05 Council to leave the island, on strict orders to return should SCP-XXXX-2 become active. A two hundred and seventy (270) nautical mile long by ten (10) nautical mile wide testing zone was erected in the Atlantic Ocean, consisting of two (2) static buoys at each end. Said buoys were to hold speed monitoring equipment to record the amount of time it takes for SCP-XXXX-1 to travel between them. SCP-XXXX-1 was given as much space as it needed to acquire maximum velocity before reaching the test site. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX-1 begins two hundred kilometers behind the first buoy. SCP-XXXX-1 reaches the first buoy within five (5) seconds of test start. SCP-XXXX-1 takes one-tenth (.1) of a second to cross both buoys, speed clocked at 18,001,440 Km/h. After the test, SCP-XXXX-1 reports adaptations occurring three (3) seconds after starting, which included similar results to Test XXXX-C-1. Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 covered SCP-XXXX-1's entire body and gained increased flexibility. Tests on said scales indicate their ability to generate energy from friction, and likely transferred said energy into giving SCP-XXXX-1 a speed boost. SCP-XXXX-1's wing sets gain increased muscle mass, and the lower wing set loses versatility in return for increased strength. All eight of SCP-XXXX-1's eyes gain a thin membrane likely to neutralize the effects of rushing air. SCP-XXXX-1's mouth seals together and snout lengthens to maximize aerodynamically, while a set of "filters" opens along the side of SCP-XXXX-1's face which are capable of collecting oxygen at extremely high speeds. SCP-XXXX-4 becomes approximately ten (10) times as potent, and SCP-XXXX-1's biostructure strengthens to accommodate the extremely powerful stimulant. |
Addendum XXXX-5: The following is a record of inscriptions found on the backside of collected instances of SCP-XXXX-3, written in an unknown language and translated to English by SCP-XXXX-1. More is yet to be discovered.
Where Am I
The Ancient Wyvern has done the deed
Conquered the wretch deep Evil had brought
Now for Taloroth he had no need
And is cast away without second thoughtThe new land's hawks circle high overhead
SECURE CONTAIN PROTECT they said
Evil Apotheosis
Remember the Caverns throughout the world?
Your fights with the Million Mile beast?
How through the caves it lay ever curled?
How it touched both the West and East?Remember the way its body heat would melt the Cavern metal?
Gold, silver, diamonds and rubies, worn by Wyrm Eternal?Remember when you killed me, and drained my very essence
To grow in strength and sharpen mind, to aid you in ascendanceI don't care that you were made for it, I don't care that it's your nature
With every single Wyrm you kill, your power just grows greater.
You're a murderer, a cannibal, and a psychopath of the system!
It disgusts me to see you drink the very souls of your poor victims. To think I was safe, I was a fool. I understand now, you would've died.
But I don't and won't forgive you. It's an eye for an eye.
Addendum XXXX-6
The following is an interview with SCP-XXXX-1 concerning its origin.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-1
Interviewer: Dr. Aevo
Foreword: SCP-XXXX-1 summoned for an interview on 05 request.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Aevo: Hello SCP-XXXX-1, we thank you for-
SCP-XXXX-1: You may skip the niceties, my friend, we know each other now. Just call me "dash one". If I knew my name I'd tell you, but alas I'm remembering everything but my name.
Dr. Aevo: The niceties are for the recording, as per protocol. But as for your memory, that is exactly why I'm here today. We have an expansive list of questions regarding your origin.
SCP-XXXX-1: My origin, yes. My birthplace, my home. I have almost begun to accept I may be stuck here… no. I'm getting back.
Dr. Aevo: Do you think you could describe your world, and the events leading up to your being stranded here? The inscriptions on those scales we found raise some questions.
SCP-XXXX-1: Most likely, yes. Ah, where to start?
Dr. Aevo: As early as you want.
SCP-XXXX-1: Alright. I remember having a vision. It was the creator. He was informing me of my purpose, how I would kill and kill, train and train, grow and grow until eventually, I would fight Leviathan-
Dr. Aevo: Leviathan? Is this the "million-mile beast" you speak of?
SCP-XXXX-1: What? No. That's another god.
Dr. Aevo: And you killed this god as well?
SCP-XXXX-1: I had no choice. The humans made peace with the dragons, and back then, I wasn't as strong. If I offended the humans, they could've killed me. They had no idea I was their savior.
Dr. Aevo: Tell me about this god. It lived in the caverns, yes?
SCP-XXXX-1: Yes. The entire crust of the planet was riddled with them, and- oh they were beautiful. There was an abundance of gold, silver, diamonds, amethyst, Puresteel. The god, Shang Malak, he was intertwined throughout these caverns. He would melt the rock and metals onto himself as sort of armor. He was absurdly powerful, could've destroyed the world easily if he wanted to. He was a god, you know. One of the primordial beings Taloroth made to watch over his creation. Bad things from the Void would occasionally burst from the Void, wreak a bit of havoc and leave. Taloroth tolerated these attacks for a while, but eventually decided they needed to stay out.
Dr. Aevo: Was Shang Malak the only one?
SCP-XXXX-1: No. There were several more. Taloroth named them the Ancient Wyrms. I killed most of them. I like to think it was all part of the Plan, but other times… never mind. But nevertheless, Shang Malak was the greatest of the Ancient Wyrms.
Dr. Aevo: So you're telling me, a god, a million miles long-
SCP-XXXX-1: Longer, that was just artistic writing.
Dr. Aevo: More than a million miles long, covered in metal and crystals, was wound throughout your world?
SCP-XXXX-1: Yes.
Dr. Aevo: And you killed it?
SCP-XXXX-1: Yes.
Dr. Aevo: (Exhales, long pause) So, what do you eat? You leave 90% of those portal creatures intact after you kill them.
SCP-XXXX-1: I don't require very much physical sustenance now that I'm a god. I siphon their essence with my scales, and that keeps me anchored.
Dr. Aevo: How do you do that?
SCP-XXXX-1: My scales are made of Puresteel, which is essentially, the perfect metal. Perfect conductor, indestructible, and a perfect vessel for every kind of energy. There are massive veins of it throughout my world, all leading to the core.
Dr. Aevo: What's at the core?
SCP-XXXX-1: A prison. It was meant to hold Leviathan while I matured. Every time I killed, the Puresteel veins would bring the leftover energy to the prison.
Dr. Aevo: The prison runs on… souls?
SCP-XXXX-1: No. Leviathan does. Taloroth, the creator, well… he confined himself within the prison with Leviathan. The Puresteel veins constantly nourished Taloroth, who was also constantly being drained by Leviathan. A perfect stalemate until I could free the Creator.
Dr. Aevo: And you succeeded?
SCP-XXXX-1: Yes
Dr. Aevo: So… why did Taloroth exile you?
SCP-XXXX-1: Evil was destroyed. He did not need a killing machine, and I would have no way to survive. We both agreed that I should leave. He planned to make me a separate reality, but I was so powerful I slipped out before that could happen. Ended up here, a reality between the real realities.
Dr. Aevo: I'm not sure I follow…
SCP-XXXX-1: There are things out there other than reality, there's similar things, substitutes. You happen to reside within the Great Tree. Your reality, in particular, is in a water droplet on a leaf, ready to drop off at any moment. You have branches of dimensions to move between leaves, and those leaves are made up of universes themselves. You have the trunk as a means of traversing between the branches and roots, and of the roots, we do not speak. But you fail to see that the tree is in but a forest, surrounded by oceans, deserts, plains, mountains, skies, and pits.
Dr. Aevo: Have you seen it?
SCP-XXXX-1: Yes.
