Doctor Anvil

Item #:SCP-5162

Object Class: Keter/Thaumiel

Containment Procedures: SCP-5162 is to be kept in a 10x10x10 meter vacuum sealed room with all walls comprised of Tungsten-Titanium-Carbide, as this is the only recorded material that is capable of withstanding the immense heat that SCP-5162 is capable of generating. SCP-5162 itself is to be kept under constant 24 hour surveillance to monitor any changes in the temperature within the containment cell, or changes in SCP-5162 itself. Additionally, SCP-5162 is to be brought a 12 liter canister of concentrated Hydrogen, or any substance or object containing the aforementioned element, once per week, as this is the only substance SCP-5162 is capable of consuming in order to sustain itself properly, as prolonged time without consumption of Hydrogen will cause the entity to enter an active state.

Description: SCP-5162 is a humanoid entity standing at approximately 1.984 meters with a weight of 150 kilograms. The entity itself appears to be, for lack of a more apt description, a “living nebula”, as SCP-5162 is entirely comprised of the gases and other assorted elements that can be found in the Orion Nebula, where the entity is thought to originate from. SCP-5162 is also commonly seen wearing Victorian England attire, such as a black tailcoat with matching pants, though the reason behind this is at present unknown.

SCP-5162 is capable of limited speech, often only being capable of answering any questions with simple phrases, such examples include “Yes”, “No”, or “Perhaps” in a voice that seems to vocalize as though it is coming from within an empty cavern, with a trailing echo in every word. Though its speech is limited, SCP-5162 has been shown to understand all languages it comes into contact with, though how this is possible is currently unknown. SCP-5162 is capable of movement akin to that of a human male in the 25 to 30 year age range, although it has been observed that prolonged time without consumption of Hydrogen seems to limit its movement speed. SCP-5162 is also described as having two spiral galaxy-like shapes on the front facing side of its head, which is theorized to be its means of observing its surroundings.

SCP-5162 has been shown to have the ability to generate any element or compound , as well as any object or celestial body, that is currently known by the Foundation at will. This is likely due to SCP-5162 being comprised of the materials found within a nebula, and was proven when, during an observational experiment, SCP-5162 was requested to prove this theory true, after which the materials within SCP-5162 seemed to flow around its right hand as it held the hand up and slowly formed a white dwarf star the size and diameter of a basketball from within the containment cell for a few seconds before it seemed slowly deconstruct the star as the materials flowed back into SCP-5162s body. It is theorized that SCP-5162 uses this same process of deconstruction as a means of consumption of Hydrogen, as any objects or substances containing said element within 10 meters of the entity have been observed to slowly break apart at the atomic level before the resulting substances are drawn towards and within SCP-5162.

When entering an active state, SCP-5162 will search for any substance to consume the elements comprising the substance order to sustain itself. This of course also includes humans, as SCP-5162 has been observed to deconstruct D-Class personal that have entered its containment cell during a prolonged time without Hydrogen. In such extreme cases, SCP-5162 has been observed consuming the walls of the containment cell after a total of 6 days without consumption, after which a D-Class personal was sent into the cell with a canister of Hydrogen, with SCP-5162 consuming both the canister and the D-Class.

While the full extent of the abilities of SCP-5162 remains unknown, it has been observed that the entity is capable of creating and maintaining any number of celestial bodies of an unknown size for the amount of time that it wishes for them to stay in existence.

Audio Log# 5162-1

The following is from an interview conducted between SCP-5162 and Dr. ██████

[Begin Log]

Dr. ██████: Good day SCP-5162

SCP-5162:…

Dr. ██████:I have a list of questions I need to ask you. Are you ok with answering them?

SCP-5162:…

Dr. ██████:Right…Ahem. Have you been to Earth in the past for any reason?

SCP-5162:…Yes

Dr. ██████:My god, that’s your voice?

SCP-5162:…

Dr. ██████: My apologies. I meant no offense.

SCP-5162:…

Dr. ██████:Moving on, what was the reason behind your visit?

SCP-5162:…Observation

Dr. ██████:Alright…And what exactly were you observing?

SCP-5162…Homosapians

Dr. ██████:And what was the reason behind your observation?

SCP-5162

Dr. ██████Very well. Next question. Do you have any connections to SCP-2399 or it’s creators?

SCP-5163…No

Addendum# 5162-1: “SCP-5162 is, at least in my eyes, one of the more unique SCPs that the Foundation has currently observed and contained. While other SCPs are within the realm of understanding, as ridiculous as that may sound, SCP-5162 is a more unique case…It is not every day that someone can say that they have seen a conscious nebula or galaxy, even less so spoken to one. While the subject of debate of SCP-5162 in regards to the Foundation itself is an interesting topic, the applications that SCP-5162 could offer to us is an entirely more interesting topic. Just imagine what we could learn! We could observe how nebulas actually work, how they form stars or any other matter of celestial objects, though such a proses would take quite possibly years to observe.”- Dr. ██████
