SCP-WIP The Choir of Wretched Souls
Item ID: SCP-WIP - The Choir
Object Class: Euclid.
Containment Procedures: SCP-WIP should be kept in a chamber that is capable of holding The Choir and an audience of 10 or more. The chamber should be deep inside the site, and not close to an outer wall. There should be a lux level of 2 throughout the chamber. The D-Class kept inside the chamber to listen to The Choir should have a taste for classical music and must not talk while in the chamber. Sneezing, coughing or any functions which make sound are prohibited inside the chamber, exceptions to crying. There should not be glass in the chamber, only audio surveillance. There is a maximum of 5 minutes while changing out the audience. If the 5-minute rule is exceeded, the containment wing is to go into full lockdown.
Description: SCP-WIP is a choir with 7 humanoid figures standing in an orderly formation. The figures making up the choir have been mutilated, leaving a possibility to find the origins by looking through missing person cases. Although mutilated beyond recognition, the voices of the figures remain intact and human. The figures do not need to move off the pedestal, as they have no bodily functions despite resembling a humanoid. When the SCP doesn't have an audience of at least 10 dedicated listeners, it stops singing. After a 5 minutes mark, they resume singing, but with an angrier tone. All creatures within a certain undetermined radius have been found mutilated, even with thick concrete in between. (See Incident Log# ████-██.) When not in a provoked state, the choir sings low-speed songs that have been unable to be transcribed. The humanoids seem to be unable to move or are unwilling to. A scan of the contractions and expansions of the muscles around the frontal orifice seems to show that the humanoids are frowning.
SCP-WIP-1 is a 5' 6" humanoid that stands in the lower row, in the center. It is one of the 3 creatures that has been able to sing words that are easily heard by the average human. The mutilation is mostly around the face, and resembles a body found off Interstate 94, and was known as ███ █████. ███ ██████ had a history of singing in its local choir. It is presumed that SCP-WIP-1 was 14 years old around the time of its death, as all documents about it except a picture and its name were unable to be found.
SCP-WIP-2 is a 4' 11" humanoid that stands to the right of SCP-WIP-1. It has previously been able to sing words that can be heard by the average human, and it also sings the background chorus. SCP-WIP-2 was 13 around the time of its death. The mutilation is mostly around the arms and face. Before becoming part of The Choir, SCP-WIP-2 was known as Rose ██████ and it is believed that SCP-WIP-2 did not have a history of being in a choir. It remains unconfirmed, as the parents are unable to be found.
