Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX no organic contact to it can be made in fear of it spreading. It is contained within a 4m x 4m x 4m (meter) toughened glass container with an airtight seal. There is an airlock into the enclosure which can only be opened with written authorization from 2, level 4 personnel. In the event of a breach, the whole facility is to be locked down. All personnel must evacuate the facility and it must be vacuum sealed.

Description: SCP-XXXX has two (2) forms, it's "pure form" and it's "attached form". The entities "pure form" is a red congealed liquid. It seems to be sentient as it has been seen moving by itself, usually to the nearest life form.

It's other form has only been witnessed three (3) times by personnel. This form is only accomplishable when another life form comes into contact with SCP-XXXX [See Test 1]

Test 1 A 5"7' tall, 25 year old, D-class male, convicted of mass murder, was sent into the container. The subject entered willingly. SCP-XXXX immediately noticed the subjects presence and made its way over to him carefully. Upon skin contact, the entity rapidly travelled up the subjects body, entering through its nose and seemingly disappearing. The subjects temperature immediately rose to forty (40) degrees Celsius and he complained of fatigue. The subject led down and thirty minutes later the subject had fully recovered and it looked as if SCP-XXXX had left his body. Upon further scans of the subject, it appeared that SCP-XXXX had embedded a part of itself into the cell wall of the subjects red blood cells. After another thirty minutes scan showed that SCP-XXXX had taken over the subjects brain, controlling him completely. We predict this is used to spread to other life forms as the subject acted almost exactly as he did before the experiment.
