Special Containment Procedures: SCP-[XXXX], is to be secured into a receding area of 8 kilometers radius, which must be strictly monitored, avoiding access by civilians.
Unauthorized personnel, must be captured, interrogated, and must be administered class A amnestics, any attempt to object, will lead to termination.
Description: SCP-[XXXX] it is a forest of 5 kilometers in diameter, ubicated in the middle of Siberia, Russia. Apparently, it is mainly composed of specimens of the genus Betula1, which seems to be the only autochthonous life forms of place. The forest, always remains in a winry state, staying in temperatures below zero, even in summer.
Tests have shown that the average temperature of the forest, decreases gradually as a subject approaches, temperatures have been recorded until the [REDACTED].
When any living being approaches at least 1 kilometer towards the center of the forest and this presents any form of humidity in its structure, it will begin to enter into a rapid freezing process, which will last between 2 or 5 minutes approximately, until the subject, including clothes and objects, turn into ice.
SCP-[XXXX], was discovered on ██/██/20██ when members of the GRU division "P", where surprised analizyng "climatic changes" in the zone. Subjects were interrogated and immediately terminated. Later, the area was secured and a nearby highway that led to [REDACTED] was closed.
Approximately, 700 meters from the center of the forest, a hatch has been found, which, so far, has been impossible to open, due to being in an advanced state of freezing.
Despite this, the exterior of the forest has been explored (see addendum [XXXX]-1).
Addendum [XXXX]-1:SCP-[XXXX] has been explored only once on day ██/██/201█.
