Special Containment Procedures

SCP-001's entrance in our dimension, located in Northwest Territories, Canada.

Due to SCP-001's security and the nature of the Serpent's Hand, SCP-001 can't be contained at this point in time. For that reason, Mobile Task Force Viper-77 ("Snake Tamers") has been created to hold missions to infiltrate SCP-001 and to stop the Serpent's Hand organization from disrupting foundation operations. Drones are to monitor SCP-001 from a distance of 20 km. All drones are to report unusual behavior to level 5 personnel, who in return report to the 05 council.

GOI Investigation drone Wadjet-1 is to monitor Serpent's Hand activity. If any pattern is broken, infiltration efforts are to begin and all foundation facilities are to take extra security measures for a period of 62 days.

Any civilians who come near SCP-001 are to be detained and questioned for information. After questioning, civilians are to be quarantined for 12 hours and then registered Class-A Amnestics.

SCP-001, also known as Location of Interest-001-SH and The Wanderer's Library is an anomalous library building who's primary entrance is located in Northwest Territories, Canada. SCP-001 is an inter-dimensional location currently used as a base for Serpent's Hand operations, accessible through specific entrances referred to as "Ways". Ways are entrances to the library which appear

SCP-001-0 is a designation given to the anomalous workers in SCP-001, referred to as "Librarians". They are unable to speak, though they have been known to help people in the library. "Docents", also known as SCP-001-0-1, are the primary workers in SCP-001. SCP-001-0-1 are humanoids of unknown descent who are primarily identified by their clothing. Their task is solely to help library readers find the books and information they need
