Description: SCP-XXXX usually takes the form of a dog or wolf but seems to not actually be composed of any known material. The figure is slightly transparent and is either unwilling or unable to manifest outside of darkness. Therefore the best chance of survival is to quickly turn on any and all lights available.

The entity seems to only affect its target. Leaving any other subject unaware of the events unfolding. There's currently insufficient data to know if it can manifest in multiple places at once.

No full description of SCP-XXXX has been able to be made due to its nature. The entity allegedly only appears right before the target falls asleep. On initial contact SCP-XXXX will start with a low growl, a fair distance from the subject, that progresses to a much deeper growl while advancing closer to its target. Remains of subjects show mutilation at the back of the neck, usually at the axis of the spine.

The entity, although not seeming to possess a physical body, does have a pungent blood soaked aroma. However, experience varies between subjects.
