Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept inside of a locked 30cm x 20cm x 30cm soundproofed safe which can be accessed by all personnel with reasonable means after incident XXXX-A all personnel are required to obtain permission from. All tests conducted with SCP-XXXX require it to be isolated for 3 hours before use.

Description: SCP-XXXX was found on a worksite in ████████, South Australia. It resembles a pair of industrial grade earmuffs with no physical abnormalities aside from the fact that the brand name "Brightings" displayed on the headband is currently not a brand of earmuffs.

All persons, after beginning to wear the earmuffs report hearing much less than usual, a microphone placed in the earmuffs was found to have recorded a 100dB tone at only 50dB at a 10m distance from the origin point of the tone.

All persons, after wearing the earmuffs for approximately 2-3 minutes report a voice beginning to narrate all of their actions. This voice varies in tone, gender and accent over all persons. This narration begins as narration of important or very noticeable events (The importance of the events narrated is relative to the wearer) but after approximately 2 hours this narration begins to pick up on increasingly subtle emotions or thoughts (NOTE: The narrator never comments on itself).

After prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX the narrator does not seem to leave the mind of the person who has worn the earmuffs for a maximum of 3 hours, meaning that the narrators voice is not coming directly from the earmuffs but is being perceived by the mind itself. This is evidenced by test 6 in which a 26 year old D-class subject whom was born deaf reported "hearing" a voice.
