Doctor Gilles

Since I joined the Foundation, I’ve pondered numerous things. These range from how high SCP 420-J can get someone to how long it will take for SCP 682 to annihilate the human race. However, I recently learned of a certain Doctor named Jack Bright. I could only think one thing after hearing about everything he's done… "Surely he's banned from doing almost anything at the Foundation. After further research, I have learned that there is, in fact, a list of things that he is not allowed to do. A specific one that caught my eye was, "Though it is true that nobody expects the SCP Inquisition, that is only because there is no such thing." This caught my eye because, as a member of the scientific community, I believe that such a thing may happen.

I am making this entry accessible to the entire Foundation in order to help us prepare for such an event.

Section 1: Identifying the Threats
To begin with, we need to know which SCPs may take part in an Inquisition. After researching the tendencies of numerous SCPs, I have compiled a list of SCPs that may cause an Inquisition (note: there are likely many more):

  • SCP 682. It hates us all, it would jump at the idea of persecuting humanity.
  • SCP 4666. It has been killing people for years, this is just another Tuesday for it.
  • The Gate Guardian (also known as one of the proposals for SCP 001). It is literally an angel. The Spanish Inquisition was a religious thing, so an angel would definitely have something to do with it.
  • SCP 963. More accurately, Dr. Bright himself. According to him, nobody expects the SCP Inquistion. What if this is just foreshadowing an event that we truly will not expect?

Section 2: Preparedness
Now that we know which entities will take part in the SCP Inquisition, we need to be prepared. But alas, we have virtually no way of fighting against these entities. But here are some ways in which we can avoid them:

  • In the case of SCP 682, I really don't know what to tell you. We can run.
  • When it comes to SCP 4666, as long as it's not Christmas Time, we're good.
  • Where do I start with the Gate Guardian? In short, if it starts chasing us, we're screwed.
  • Finally, Bright himself. I say we just bribe him with 420-J, what's the worst that could happen?
