Special Containment Procedure: SCP- 4287 is to be held in a locked box not to be opened by any personnel. It is not to be worn nor carried by any personnel. The box is to be held in a room under surveillance by two security cameras. One camera is positioned in the room. The other is positioned facing the door in the hall.
Description: SCP-4287 is a bone ring weighing at 2 ounces. The bone is not yet of know creature origin. The ring was found in ███████ in the ██████ Mountains inside of a cave on the finger of a decayed woman. The woman was groaning and breathing heavily when found. She had no pulse and her body was cold. Upon removal of the ring she lay limp and lifeless. The woman's name was not found. She will hereby be referred to SCP-4287-1 in future documents. SCP-4287-1 is now being held in a research facility in ████████. The rest of the cave was empty.
An experiment on multiple D-Class personnel reveals that when worn the wearer experiences "chills" and "the feeling of being watched. When removed the feelings stopped. After removal some of the personnel put the ring back on. Those who did not reported the temptation to do so. Those who did kept it on, and shivered until they fell limp. Their hearts stopped beating. After approximately 30 seconds of this state they started moving. Some groaned incoherently. Others muttered words like "others" and phrases like "death is eternal" or "darkness forever". They continued to ramble and move around until armed personnel entered the room. The ring wearers reacted violently, throwing themselves at the armed personnel, bashing fists against them. They yelled out similar phrases to those described in earlier text. When the ring was removed their heart stopped. They didn't move again.
