Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be contained within a 6 m x 6 m x 6 m chamber with 15 cm reinforced steel walls, floor and ceiling. The cell holding SCP-XXXX should use technological equipment sparingly. Any forms of equipment essential in keeping SCP-XXXX locked inside are forbidden from relying on any forms of electricity. The entrance & exit to SCP-XXXX's enclosure must be steel blast doors similar to those used in underground bunkers and must be locked manually. The use of key cards, passcodes or any other forms of technology must not be used as a way to enter or exit the enclosure.
SCP-XXXX is to be fed daily with a cow or any other large livestock. The food of SCP-XXXX must be alive when sent in. Failure to do so will result in SCP-XXXX refusing to eat and will eventually enter a stage of frustration and hunger, causing it to act violently and may attempt to breach containment.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a large biped organism exhibiting a number of traits and features found in different animal classes. Examples of these traits include a slightly dinosaur-like design & posture and a protective carapace found in most armoured insects & arachnids.
SCP-XXXX stands roughly 5 metres tall & 9 metres long and weighed 4,000kg when it was first measured after being brought to site [REDACTED].

Addendum: SCP-XXXX has a bizarre ability to scramble and sometimes fry the circuits of electronic equipment. This lead to the doors containing SCP-XXXX to unlock and allowed it to escape, SCP-XXXX is now being contained via manually locked blast doors. How and if SCP-XXXX does this intentionally are not yet known.

Incidents

+ Show First Sighting

First Sighting: The first sighting of SCP-XXXX was reported on [REDACTED] in 2017, by ██████ whilst trekking through [REDACTED], New Zealand.

+ Show Incident-XXXX-A

Incident-XXXX-A: SCP-XXXX was not recovered however until [REDACTED] later, after reports of an animal attack in [REDACTED], a small town in New Zealand. SCP-XXXX was successfully contained after a recovery team immobilised the entity with high concentration narcotics whilst it was preoccupied, feeding on the resident of a home it had breached.
All residents of the small town were prescribed Class A amnestics and the incident was given a cover story that the deceased resident had unknowingly left the gas on overnight, leading to a fatal explosion which terminated all those inside.

Change in mass: Several weeks after recovery, SCP-XXXX was much heavier than when it was recovered. It was measured and was discovered to have gained 90kg in weight. Unsure as to what the cause of this weight gain was, Dr. [REDACTED] ordered for an occasional change in diet and a bimonthly weighing of the creature to monitor its weight.
Over the span of 5 months it was confirmed that the creature was gaining weight regardless of its diet. The creature seemed to be gaining weight almost exclusively around the lower torso, which had by then become noticeably swollen and rounded as well as emitting a faint orange glow from inside.
Dr. [REDACTED] ordered for the sedation of the creature in order to properly and safely examine its body. Upon inspection, personnel discovered strange orbs inside the organism's distended abdomen. After proper examination it has been confirmed that these are in fact eggs [estimated date of delivery: not yet known]
