SCP 982
Object Class: Keter
Description-
SCP 982-A refers to the micro-organism that was discovered in [REDACTED] on the 19th of May, 1998. SCP 982-A itself possesses numerous alien properties, including the ability to cause physical mutations to occur on any infected organism. These changes include the growth of a tendril on an organism's arm, the reconstruction of an organism's arm using muscles to create a bone-like "sword", to cause the swelling and bloating of many parts of the body and to deteriorate the brain to the point where any and all afflicted organisms behave erratically, attempting to bite and consume the flesh of those who are deemed safe. The organism spreads through numerous means, including but not limited to the entrance of an unidentified parasite which measures at 0.5 meters in length into the body, and through consumption of infected water. When infected, one will normally immediately experience mutations, before experiencing cardiac arrest, followed by total organ failure. Decomposition immediately sets in, despite the infected's ability to move freely.
SCP 928-B refers to a locality within Gilgit-Baltistan, a territory claimed by the Republic of India but administered by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The locality itself is located within ], and contains the wreckage of a flying vehicle, which closely resembles the SCPS Endeavour. The ship itself is contained within the SCP complex underneath the Trango Towers. The mountain, despite being open to visitors, requires a permit, with the complex itself being hidden under the guise of a Pakistani Armed Forces facility.
SCP 928-C refers to the recordings formerly stored within SCP-928-B, which are currently stored in Site 19. See addendum-982-3
SCP 928-D refers to [REDACTED]
Special containment procedures.
SCP-982 is to be stored in Site 59, in a BSL-4 laboratory. Any suspected breach of SCP-982 is to immediately be contained by up to 3 mobile task forces. All parasites are to be stored in transparent cubes, which must be monitored 24-7
