Item #: 5156 SCP-5156

Object Class: Euclid Safe/Euclid/Keter (indicate which class)

Special Containment Procedures: When not being used in an experiment, SCP-5156 is to be stored in a sealed metal box sitting on a pedestal in the middle of a 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 meter room. The sealed metal box is to contain a .8mm disposable ink pen, along with SCP-5156. When SCP-5156 is needed for experimentation it can be opened and SCP-5156-1 can be viewed by any researcher with class-3 clearance or above. After making contact with SCP-5156 personnel are to be moved to a secure observation chamber, where they can be monitored by on-site phycologists. Foundation MTF agents are authorized to administer Class-A amnestics to any foundation personnel who exhibit violent tendencies towards themselves or others after exposure to SCP-5156 or SCP-5156-1.

Description: SCP-5156 is a reality bender with the ability to alter the reality of an individual based on the “script” that will appear upon opening. SCP-5156 appears to be a typical black Manilla style file folder, the only unusual properties of which are an SCP Foundation logo on the middle of the back flap of the folder, and “SCP-5156” stamped on the bottom of the folders front exterior flap.

SCP-5156 was discovered in ███████, ███████, during a raid on a Chaos Insurgency base suspected of holding various memetic anomalies. A raid by Mobile Task Force Lambda-5 (aka "White Rabbits"), resulted in the recovery of SCP-5156, among other anomalous objects, along with one suspected GOC Agent. However, upon interrogation about the origins of SCP-5156, the apprehended man claimed that SCP-5156 had spontaneously appeared in the base the moment the foundation arrived on site. Subject, upon giving no further answers to any of our questions was terminated. SCP-5156 was brought to Site-██, where it was to be contained. Researcher █████ ██████ was to oversee the containment of SCP-5156.

While Mobile Task Force Lambda-5 was on their way to Site-██, SCP-5156 was opened by the motion of the moving vehicle. SCP-5156 then began to rewrite itself, creating the events described in Addendum 5156-1. Further research on the effects of SCP-5156 opening without human interaction is underway.

Addendum 5156-1: On 1/13/20██, Researcher █████ was found to be missing from the foundation. A search of SCP-5156’s containment cell revealed that SCP-5156 was missing. A note reading "I have altered the script. I cannot be stopped." was left in its place. A search of Researcher █████'s home revealed that Researcher █████ had not been seen by his wife all weekend, she had not alerted the foundation as she assumed that he was at the foundation. Researcher █████ was found 6 miles from his home by two small children playing in the wooded area outside of their home. He was suspended by his neck 28 feet up in a tree. Researcher █████ was determined to have committed suicide, though how he managed to hang himself from such a hight, and why exactly he felt compelled to do so, are still unknown. SCP-5156 was found rolled up inside of Researcher █████'s internal coat pocket, entirely devoid of writing of any kind. The folder was brought back to site-██ for containment, and further research into its mind-altering capabilities is underway.

Addendum 5156-2: Further testing of SCP-5156 has shown that if no ink-based writing utensils are present within 1 meter of SCP-5156, SCP-5156-1 will write itself with the closest pigmented liquid. SCP-5156 will often resort to using the blood of the subject who opened SCP-5156.
