Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX poses no immediate risk in any direct sense. Even so, its unique functions require special measures be taken to restrict access and manipulation of the object. SCP-XXXX must be contained in a Approval of at least one (1) Level 3 personnel is required for the removal of the object from its containment area.
Description: In appearance, SCP-XXXX resembles a 19th Century gas lantern, presumably used as a back-up coal lamp. SCP-XXXX measures 10" x 4" x 4" in size. Inscribed on SCP-XXXX is a message that reads "USE ME". Any attempt to break, dismantle, or harm SCP-XXXX will result in spontaneous combustion and death.
SCP-XXXX also was found along side SCP-XXXX-1, which appears to be a small padlock safe. SCP-XXXX appears to have a metal plate with the words "VAULT-Z" inscribed on the safe. The key to the safe was found approximately 3 ft. away from SCP-XXXX's discovery site (See Addendum-XXXX-1).
Additional Notes: Data from tests with SCP-XXXX have shown that any attempt to carry SCP-XXXX for more than 24 hrs will cause said subject to disappear from the current location. Whereabouts of missing personnel are unknown at the moment. SCP-XXXX will also set any tool that is used to destroy it on fire.
Addendum-XXXX-1: The lantern was initially recovered from a rescue mission in an abandoned coal mine about 1,500 feet below [DATA EXPUNGED].
