Special Containment Procedures: The foundation is currently containing SCP- 5489 in a standard heavily guarded containment cell at site [redacted] personnel attempting to remove SCP-5489 from its containment cell are to be terminated on sight. The foundation has currently restricted entry unless approved by the 05 Council. All personnel who enter the cell are to be given painkillers Class-A amnestics. Any researchers who show signs of pity for D-Class are strictly forbidden to go within a 100 ft radius of the cell.
Description:SCP-5489 was found locked away in the safe of a house in [data expunged] when reports of a 32 year old billionaire going insane slowly for no reason. The foundation got hold of the helmet after they took it from the police who found it. SCP-5489 resembles a [redacted] brand motorcycle helmet with apparent retrofitting of technological devices. SCP-5489 is a helmet that shows the future when donned. When donned, SCP-5489 will give excruciating pain to the wearer (SCP-5489-1). The longest personnel have been able to wear SCP-5489 is 2 seconds without attempting to escape. 5 seconds after the process starts, D-Class personnel are reported trying to [redacted]. D-6775 wore SCP-5489 for 12 seconds before removing it. The personnel was found 3 hours later dead in his cell even after painkillers. The cause was believed to be suicide. D-Class personnel are now to be registered Class A amnestics after questioning.
All D-Class personnel are to wear SCP-1184 when being questioned about the visions from SCP-5489. D-3638 was questioned how long the pain lasted. D-3638 told the researchers that it gave pain only lasting the duration of the time they wear SCP-5489.
Doctor [data expunged] questioned D-3638 how bad it hurt. D-3638 said compared to it, death by 096 is painless. D-3638 was wearing SCP-1184 during the questioning.
Addendum A:
One D-Class personnel was instructed to wear SCP-5489 and take 5 painkillers while wearing it. During questioning, D-[redacted] attempted to kill the staff with a sharp rock he found. The attempt was unsuccessful. The staff threatened to put SCP-5489 back on him if he didn’t answer. D-[redacted] said the painkillers had no effect. D-[redacted] later [redacted] the staff by [redacted]. Unknown whether SCP-5489 influenced this or it was a general reaction.
Addendum B:
One D-Class personnel was registered Class-A amnestics after. The D-Class was questioned with SCP-1184. The D-Class personnel have no memory of SCP-5489. D-4746 was the first to be questioned about what she saw.

Addendum C:
D-9876 was instructed to wear SCP-714 while wearing SCP-5489. SCP-714s anomalous abilities somehow showed no effect against the pain inflicted by SCP-5489. The next day, D-9876 started feeling the same pain SCP-5489 inflicts in small bursts lasting about 2 seconds every hour. It is unknown how this is possible. Within a week, D-9876 was reporting minute long bursts of pain every 5 minutes. D-9876 was terminated as an act of mercy. SCP-714 is now not allowed to be in the same room as SCP-5489 unless the 05 council allows it.
