Special Containment Procedures: Under no circumstance is SCP XXXX to be allowed exposure to any areas in which the Group 1 metals such as potassium, caesium or rubidium, consist of more than 10% of the complete molecular structure. SCP XXXX is to be placed in Site-█, previously the town of [REDACTED], England. SCP XXXX is to be placed in an airtight level 2 Euclid containment cell, with no less than 3 air filters working at all times. SCP XXXX is to be contained in a 2.5m x 2.5m x 3m glass cuboid. SCP XXXX's chamber is to be inspected on a bi-weekly basis for any leakage of any SCP XXXX substance. Under no circumstances is SCP XXXX to be exposed a metal with a higher density than 5/cm³ and more than 10kg in mass outside testing conditions, as a result of its destructive properties. Description: SCP XXXX is an amorphous entity similar in appearance to black sludge with gelatinous viscosity but with the ability to still flow freely, typically filling the space it occupies. SCP XXXX seems to have multiple appendages similar to eyes and teeth spread over its surface, with the teeth being extremely sharp and serrated and with bite forces exceeding 63,000 PSI, capable of breaking titanium. SCP XXXX utilises these appendages to destroy any form of metal, this also includes metal alloys such as steel, brass and sterling silver.

SCP XXXX first came to the foundation’s attention in 19█, when reports of several pieces of mining equipment seemingly disappeared at a mining facility, roughly █km away from [REDACTED], England. Foundation operatives then took command of the site with the continued guise of mining. Small traces of SCP XXXX were found in the caverns below the town, which was then evacuated and the residents were rehoused and given class-B amnestics. The instance of SCP XXXX lead to the supports of several buildings in the town however, no personnel were hurt, the foundation quickly cleared the debris allowing discovery of the large mass SCP XXXX which was quickly contained.

SCP XXXX is shown to exclusively alter metal, and has shown an aversion to non-metallic substances. The rate at which SCP XXXX converts the metal is dependant on many factors, including but not limited to, the density of the metal, the amount of metal and the mass of instance of SCP XXXX. After extensive research, SCP XXXX has been shown to transmute the metal rather than destroy it, completely altering the atomic structure of the element or compound. The process or how SCP XXXX obtains the energy required for the reaction to occur, is unknown.

A sample of SCP XXXX contained in a 125cm³ plastic container, was exposed to a standard
set of silverware cutlery, with each piece of cutlery weighing approximately 26 grams with a density of 10.49g/cm³. Within 120 seconds, SCP XXXX had destroyed all 3 forms of cutlery and had became almost 80g heavier, showing the metal isn’t destroyed, but rather consumed.

XXXX-B 08/█/20█-Doctor ███ with Researcher ███ assisting.

A male D-Class, designated D-1391, whilst holding a sample of SCP XXXX, weighing approximately 250g was placed inside a 6.5m x 5m x 3m chamber with a standard steel cube weighing approximately 7.5 kilograms.

D-1391: There’s just a cube in here doc, what do you want me to do, sit on it?

Dr: Please open the container in your hand and release the sample of SCP XXXX onto the steel and record what reaction you see occurring.

D-1391 placed the open container upside down as to let SCP XXXX seep onto the cube, which immediately starts to breakdown the cube.

D-1391: Is it… eating it? What the fuck is this thing?

Dr: Please record what you see and time how long it takes for total consumption

After approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes, the cube was completely devoured by SCP XXXX and 2 members of MTF Beta-7 ‘Maz Hatters’ are called to collect and contain the large mass of SCP XXXX

After a containment breach of Site-█ from a Keter class SCP, damage to SCP XXXX’s containment facility allowed for it to escape and eventually destroy several steel beams used for support, causing a partial collapse of Site-█ and the death of █ personnel.
