Special Containment Procedures:
SCP XXXX is to be secured in a standard non-hazardous material locker. SCP XXXX is not to be plugged into a power outlet or be given any electricity unless given authorization by at least three (3) 05 council members. If any unauthorized personnel activates SCP XXXX without permission, he/she is to be demoted and be punished according to the following key:

All civilians to view SCP XXXX are to be applied a Class-A amnestic
In case of a mass information breach, the SCP foundation must provide a cover-up story and to neutralize any subject who is accelerating this breach. If any government or organization is promoting this breach, the Foundation must begin negotiations with the government/organization leader and provide the appropriate means to stop this breach.
After SCP XXXX has produced a film, the film must be incinerated or destroyed by any means possible. Any already viewed films are to be kept for a record unless the event has not yet occured.

Description:
SCP XXXX is a video recorder dating to the 1950s, which is similar in appearance to an 8MM keystone movie camera. SCP XXXX was found at a mafia warehouse during a police raid in southern Italy on 3/18/19██. Upon its discovery by Italian Carabinieri, SCP XXXX was considered an old video recorder and was kept in storage. Exactly seven days later, SCP XXXX began playing a projection of a film recognized as the formation of the modern-day European Union. The recording was considered a malfunction by the Carabinieri, and the recorder was put back into storage. SCP XXXX would not receive SCP status until 12/█/199█ when it was discovered that SCP XXXX had played the exact footage of the formation of the European Union. After that, the Foundation recovered it and secured it at Site-██.
SCP XXXX has since then shown various recordings correctly showing an event that would happen in the next decade. These recordings appear bi-weekly and only when SCP XXXX has a power supply available. How SCP XXXX produces these recordings is unknown, as is how it gets the film. After finishing each film, SCP XXXX ejects a cassette tape. The tape is labeled with the name of the event and contains the recording of said event. Any materials put into SCP XXXX disappears within one week.

SCP XXXX is not to be activated until further notice. All tests which involve viewing the tapes produced by SCP XXXX are to be suspended until provided authorization by Site Command.

[SCP XXXX begins projecting]
The recording begins with a picture of the flag of the People’s Republic of China
A protest is shown happening in what appears to be Tiananmen Square, Beijing. The protestors have signs which are translated into classical democratic slogans. After several hours of continuous protest, a tank regiment, along with several infantry regiments, entered the scene in parade formation. The protesters attempted to stop the tanks to which they are fired against by the infantry. The recording ends as the protest scatters.
Log XXXX 1988
The recording begins with a picture of the flag of the United Soviet Socialist Republics. The scene then transitions into Soviet Premier, Gorbachev giving a speech in Russian to an excited crowd with the Kremlin behind him. After about 10 minutes, the flag of the USSR flying above the Kremlin is replaced with that of the Russian federation. A deafening cheer comes from the crowd, and the recording ends.
Log XXXX 1990
The recording begins with an image of the flag of the United States of America. The flag is then replaced with an image of a Boeing 767 aircraft taking off at Dulles International Airport, Washington DC. The plane then suddenly changes direction mid-air and heads northeast. After about 1 hour of flying, New York City comes into view; the aircraft is approaching the north side of the city. 42 minutes after the city came into view, the aircraft proceeds to crash into the side of the nearest of the twin towers, the recording then burns out, and the film stops.
Log XXXX 2010
The recording begins with an image of the Russian Federation flag. The image then is replaced by a political map of the black sea. The map then slowly depicts the extension of Russian territory into the Crimean peninsula and territory until the Russian federation completely controls the peninsula. The scene then transitions into a video of Russian troops parading in Sevastopol, the former capital of the Crimean Autonomous Government. The recording ends 1 hour and 53 minutes into the parade.
