Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: [The creature's containment is rather basic, only needing a closed-door and means to keep Dr. [REDACTED] alive and healthy, but in a sustained coma. Procedures for if the specimen escapes are simple. There are controls in place to wake Dr. [REDACTED] from her slumber. When this is done, the creature will cease to exist. Extra requirements for containment, are entertainment. It enjoys movies, video games, puzzles and redacted. Other daily requirements include feeding (preferable candy such as Skittles, popcorn, Pringles and dead spiders), drinking water, entertainment, and occasional socialization.] [Revision 6-4 For entertainment, the subject material given cannot be too complex. The creature is prone to agitation and may become violent.]
Description: [Quadrupedal Sleep Paralysis Demon with an armless but humanoid torso. The head of the creature is human in nature, but featureless besides his six deep blue eyes and a mouth shaped like a zig-zag with two solid bone plates as teeth. The front legs of the quadruped are located at the base of the humanoid torso and resemble human arms with hands and thumbs like dewclaws. The back legs are reversed and have long bone-like appendages on which it walks. The creature is covered in a thin and wrinkled skin which requires moisturization daily by D-Class personnel. The creature can communicate telepathically to its dreamer and it can speak on their behalf. When speaking to anyone else, the voice of the creature is harsh and distorted, often overlapping with what seems to be four voices that occasionally lose synchronization.
The entity is linked to a dreamer, Dr. [REDACTED], who is currently in an induced coma. It only manifests when it’s “dreamer” is sleeping, therefore researchers have put Dr. [REDACTED] in a coma to study and observe the subject they have come to call Frank. Frank exhibits extreme aggression and anger only if or when someone approaches or intends to threaten Dr. [REDACTED]
The entity's method of combat if it deems an attack necessary is to first release an awful shriek. This shriek has a paralyzing effect on all nearby creatures, plunging them into a deep and primal fear. At this point, it will either flee or attack. It pounces onto its attacker, digging the appendages of its back legs into the attacker's chest. Then, using its hands it covers the mouth and nose of its victim, staring into the eyes until the victim passes out. The research concludes that those attacked in this fashion by the entity, have not been observed waking again. The paralysis from the fear wears off after an hour.]
Addendum: [Upon the death of the entity's dreamer, the creature will dive into a fit of terrible rage, attacking several people nearby. The entity will put all of the individuals into a coma, observe them and then, once it has found a suitable host, seemingly disappears and all recently affected and/or ever affected by it's enduced coma, will awaken. Once it’s chosen dreamer sleeps once more, the being will reemerge in a different form with the same abilities but seemingly no memories.
This has happened at the facility on three separate occasions, [REDACTED] These creature designations were XXXX-1, XXXX-2, and XXXX-3.]
