Doctor Peck

Item #: SCP-4216

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4216 is contained on site, at the end of a hallway located in Site 22. No personnel with clearance below level 3 are permitted to come within 10 meters of SCP-4216. Two armed guards are to be stationed outside SCP-4216 at all times in order to detour any one with clearance below level 3 that attempts to approach SCP-4216.

Description: SCP-4216 is an oak wood door that stands at a height of 80 inches and a width of 36 inches, with a single brass door knob on it's right hand side. SCP-4216's anomalous effects don't become apparent until a subject attempts to reach for the door knob and open the door. Upon attempting to open the SCP-4216, the subject will immediately forget what they are doing. Upon realizing where they are, the subject will then attempt to open the door again. This can trap the subject in an infinite loop which can result in them dying of dehydration and/or starvation (whichever comes first). There have been several failed attempts to open SCP-4216 (see Test Logs 1, 2, and 3). When SCP-4216 was finally opened (see Test Log-4), it was found that a black, lightless void exists beyond it. Any subject that stands in front of the opened SCP-4216 for long enough will encounter SCP-4216-1. SCP-4216-1 can only be described as a tentacle-like tendril which emerges from the void within SCP-4216. It's point of origin is unknown. Upon appearing, SCP-4216-1 will continue to wrap itself around the subject standing at SCP-4216 and pull them into the void, slamming SCP-4216 shut in the process. Exactly 4 days after SCP-4216-1's appearance, biological material can be found sitting directly outside SCP-4216, such as bones, muscle tissue, and blood.

Test Log-1: On █/██/2016, Dr. █████ instructed a D-class personnel to open SCP-4216. The D-class then became caught in a loop of attempting to open the door and forgetting what they were doing for approximately 52 hours before passing out and dying of dehydration.

Test Log-2: On █/██/2016, Dr. █████ ordered the use of a drone with a mechanical arm attached to open SCP-4216. The drone was being remotely piloted by a D-class personnel. When the D-class maneuvered the drone's arm to open the door, they immediately forgot what they were doing. The D-class was then caught in a loop of trying to open the door using the drone, and forgetting what they were doing for 49 hours before passing out and dying of dehydration.

Test Log-3: On █/██/2016, Dr. █████ ordered the use of an automated drone to open SCP-4216. Upon reaching SCP-4216, and attempting to reach for the door knob, the drone's software became caught in an infinite logic loop. Approximately 22 minutes later, the drone short circuited and shut down.

Test Log-4: On █/██/2017, Dr. █████ gave a D-class personnel a crowbar to open SCP-4216. The D-class squeezed the crowbar in between SCP-4216's door and door frame. After several minutes, the D-class successfully pried SCP-4216 open. Exactly 12 seconds after opening it, SCP-4216-1 appeared, and pulled the D-class into SCP-4216's void. The door slammed shut immediately after. 4 Days later, on █/██/2017, biological material, presumably that which belonged to the D-class, was found outside of SCP-4216.
