Special Containment Procedures: At this current moment and time, there have been no reports of dangerous activity emanating from SCP-XXXX or any personnel affected by SCP-XXXX's anomalous nature. The object is to be placed in a 2 m x 2.5 m cell and is to be monitored by one security personnel at all times. Any personnel entering SCP-XXXX's cell must wear protective, hydrophobic suits. Upon exiting the cell, all personnel must be checked for unnatural discoloration of the skin.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1.5 m long x 80 cm wide x 1.8 m tall free-standing commercial bathtub shower combination. The bathtub has discoloration due to water damage around the drain. The shower is a stainless-steel ███████████-brand hand-held shower head. There are three knobs in the shower, one on the left for warm water, one on the right for cool water, and one in the center to switch water output from the faucet to the shower head. There are no water lines connected to SCP-XXXX, and it is unknown how it produces water when turned on, nor how it drains water during use.
When in use, SCP-XXXX will stain any and all organic matter either blue or red depending on water temperature. A temperature below 40 degrees Celsius will stain organic matter blue, while a temperature above 40 degrees Celsius will result in a red stain. If the temperature is 40-40.9 degrees Celsius, the organic matter being showered will show no sign of staining. Tests have shown that the duration spent in the shower has no effect on tint, shade, or intensity of color. Multiple attempts have been made to clear affected skin of the stain(s), but none have proven successful, and all subjects have shown no signs of the stain(s) fading.
SCP-XXXX was first discovered in a house in [REDACTED], Georgia, USA, when a child had been stained completely blue after being given a bath and administered to an emergency room. Following testing, the child showed no signs of illness and amnestics were administered to the family, child, and hospital staff. The bathtub-shower combination was then confiscated and sent to site-19 for containment.
