Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a small metal crate at Site 15 until further notice.

All radios, walkie-talkies, ear implants, or any electronic devices operating between 525 kHz to 1705 kHz must be left outside containment unit before handling SCP-XXXX.

Personnel must remove all headgear while in sight of the object.

  • In the event that headgear is required, noise-canceling headphones MUST be worn as well.

SCP-XXXX is not to have its limbs bound at any time.

Personnel must not pierce SCP-XXXX's body unless given LEVEL 4 clearance.

  • In the event of cutting or injury to the object's material, affected personnel must be given a Class-B Amnestic and taken in for IMMEDIATE medical treatment and psychiatric evaluation.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a felt puppet with plastic eyes. It is 76.2cm tall and weighs 2kg.

  • The insides are likely made of wooden supports and polyester stuffing.
  • The supports are believed to move puppet's mouth and turn the head left and right. This is the only known mechanical function, as the subject does not have a hole for a puppeteer to operate movement. There are no batteries or electronics inside.

SCP-XXXX will occasionally swing its arms and legs and casually look around at its surroundings.

  • If left alone, will bounce to music, even in complete silence.

SCP-XXXX-1 is an antique radio. The power supply is not present, but the radio is operational and omits static when it is near SCP-XXXX.

If SCP-XXXX-1 is set to the AM frequency ████, SCP-XXXX will begin to sing. If someone claps to the music playing, the object will stand up and dance.

  • Disposition is generally jovial. The subject shows limited emotional autonomy. Will laugh at jokes.
  • Subject is not aware of the date, time, or current events.

SCP-XXXX refers to itself as "The Famous Quincy ███".

(██/██/1993) SCP-XXXX discovered during a call-in from Arthur ███ on "PARA-NIGHT", a paranormal talk show on AM 520 at 0324 EST.

  • MTF squad deployed to ██ ████ Lane, ██ ██████, Washington at approx. ████ EST.
  • Field Agents find resident Arthur ███ in the backyard. He is believed to have died 4 hours prior.
  • SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 retrieved from inside the residence and taken to Site 15.

Addendum:
(██/██/1994) Initial tests performed on SCP-XXXX. Designated as a threat. Sector on lockdown from ████ until ████ EST.

(██/██/1994) Second round of testing. Object refuses to participate in interviews. SCP-XXXX designated "Safe".

(██/██/1995) SCP-XXXX is cooperating w/ personnel again.

Addendum:
(UPDATED ██/██/1996): SCP-XXXX has become despondent and refuses to communicate. It will only stare at the floor and swing its legs.

  • When SCP-XXXX-1 is set to AM ███, SCP-XXXX will quietly hum a melody, but will not respond to clapping.
