Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4451 is to be kept in a 10x10x10 ft square cube suspended in the air by leather straps at site-██ in light containment. Access to SCP-4451 requires two or more level 3, researchers to allow access to its containment.
Description: SCP-4451 is a Chinese finger trap that is 5 inches in width, 1 inch in height and 2 inches in diameter. its composition is of string, hay, and twine, colors of the finger trap vary between viewers. when viewed a subject experiences extreme feelings and thoughts to place the finger trap on. When SCP-4451 is placed on a subject's fingers the subject in question goes through 5 stages of progression.
Stage 1: during this stage, the subject goes into paralysis and is unresponsive to everything but light.
Stage 2: after 5 minutes of contact with SCP-4451 the subject goes into a deep sleep and is unable to wake up unless SCP-4451 is removed.
Stage 3: after 15 minutes of exposure SCP-4451 will rapidly increase its size until both of the subject's arms are fully encapsulated inside of SCP-4451 any movement of the subject will cause SCP-4451 to encapsulate more of the subject.
Stage 4: after 60 minutes of exposure the subject will begin seizing uncontrollably causing SCP-4451 to encapsulate more of the subject.
Stage 5: after SCP-4451 has encapsulated the subject entirely it will begin to shrink the subject and itself until it has reached the regular size, 40 minutes after SCP-4451 has shrunk, it will expel SCP-4451-2 which is an identical copy of the original SCP-4451 however the subject's name is written on the side. This identical copy exhibits the same properties of SCP-4451 other than subjects calling it by the name on the side of SCP-4451-2.
Note from Researcher ██████: we have attempted to stop the seizures from SCP-4451 with Diazepam and other medication with no result.
Addendum: subjects recovered from stage 2 have stated that during stage 1 all researchers and doctor's voices have been heard as if they were demons or had inhaled Sulfur Hexafluoride.
any and all D-class personnel used for experimenting with SCP-4451 and SCP-4451-2 are to undergo
intense psychological review.
