Description: SCP-XXXX is a collection of fifty-three white and lime green graphic t-shirts in varying sizes from American small to American extra large. The graphic on the shirt reads "YOU! ARE ME!" in a green font. Testing of the shirts' material yields no anomalous properties.
SCP-XXXX shows no anomalous properties until worn by any person. When SCP-XXXX is worn, any sapient creature who reads the shirt, who will henceforth be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, will suddenly believe that they are the person wearing the shirt. This usually causes extreme distress, but the reaction varies based on SCP-XXXX-1’s natural demeanor. Reactions have varied from emotional reactions like denial and trauma to more physical and violent reactions such as homicide and [REDACTED]. The effect ends when the person takes off the shirt, but any trauma and memories from this experience remains.
SCP-XXXX was discovered after reports of the murder of the 9-year-old [DATA EXPUNGED] in ██████, Nevada. The murderer, who was the child’s father, claimed that he was his daughter and he was enraged that someone would attempt to steal his identity. SCP-XXXX was removed from the corpse and a Class-A amnesiac was administered to everyone involved in the investigation. The rest of the instances of SCP-XXXX were found in a nearby [REDACTED] chain clothing store, and were taken in for containment.
