Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard storage locker at Site-19. The locker must be kept in a locked and soundproofed storage room with no windows or recording devices of any kind. The door to the room must remain locked at all times. No guards are to be detailed to SCP-XXXX's containment unit.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a trophy, standing 47 cm tall, 10 cm wide, and 7 cm deep. SCP-XXXX has a bronze-plated base bearing the legend "CHAMPION," while the upper section consists of what appears to be a golden cup, such as one might be rewarded for winning a race.
SCP-XXXX is classified as an anomalous object because of its telepathic influence. When a subject comes within approximately 500 m of SCP-XXXX, the subject will begin to hear a voice inside their head. Subjects describe the voices as soothing and persuasive, or "Someone they want to listen to." These voices tend to be male, with approximately 17% of cases reporting a female voice. The voice will generally converse politely for a short time, then begin questioning the subject about their past.
When discussing the subject's past, the artifact will inquire about victories in contests, games, and other competitions. When the conversation reaches this stage, the subject in question becomes SCP-XXXX-1. When SCP-XXXX has discovered a significant memory of a victory, it will begin mutagenic enhancements of SCP-XXXX-1's physical or mental structure and capability. (See Addendum-XXXX-1) These mutations are beneficial to the subject and have previously saved lives. (See Addendum-XXXX-2) When mutations are complete, the subject's behavior begins to change. The subject will pick up SCP-XXXX, and then attempt to use the mutations to their advantage, likely at the artifact's compulsion. The subject becomes very attached to SCP-XXXX, insisting on maintaining visual contact, if not physical contact, with the artifact at all times.
The subject will invariably become violent if not able to breach containment. Subjects seem to sink into depression if the skills gained through enhancement do not allow achievement of goals. After approximately ██ hours of containment, the subject will begin self-harm, after which the subject will almost invariably attempt to self-terminate. This is often dangerous, as a previous USMC demolitions expert at Site-██ self-terminated, resulting in ███ D-class casualties and ██ Level 2 or higher casualties.

Procedure: Subject introduced to SCP-XXXX's containment cell and told to think about track.

Note: Subject appears to have had his right bicep, tricep, deltoid, and pectoral strengthened and enlarged. Subject also gained an unidentified organ on the right side of his neck. The organ seems to be able to create dense balls of as-yet unidentified organic material.

Analysis: Mutations possibly emphasize mental state of the subject.
Addendum-XXXX-1: The mutations invariably are related to the experience in question. For example, █████ █████████, a 6█-year old D-class personnel member who was a high school wrestling champion before [REDACTED], gained a much stronger physique and the experience of a highly trained professional wrestler.
Addendum-XXXX-2: D-XXXX-10756, a D-class personnel member afflicted with terminal lung cancer, entered SCP-XXXX's containment cell. D-XXXX-10756 then began thinking about when she was a junior swimming champion in 19██. D-XXXX-10756 gained lung mutations that removed tumors and allowed subject to hold her breath for over 1█ hours. Subject then breached containment by [REDACTED] and was terminated at 23:14:04, ██/█/20██.
